Man am I EXCITED to get this started! This first episode took around 5 hours total between crashes resetting things and other mishaps from the pre-release build, but I am not going to let that drag me down. I hope you enjoy the beginning of our park, and as always let me know what you think!

Uhhh yes I know they are? But the pre-release build I recieved was very unstable compared to builds before it. Just mentioning my frustration with it and how this first EP took way longer than I hoped lol.

For me, what Prehistoric Kingdom has over the Jurassic World Evolution games is that sense of awe and wonder you get when you go to an ethical zoo or in the wild and see real living breathing animals interacting with each others as well as their environment or their enclosure. It is not just that the designs and behaviors here are more scientifically accurate, but the way they interact with their environment or enclosure, the natural coloration they have, the way they live their lives, and the habitat they live in makes them feel more natural and real. That sense of awe and wonder is also strengthen when you create an environment that appears closely to the environment they once lived in while also taking creative liberties to make them really stand out.

Always love a good PartyElite shout-out. Genuinely some of the best content on TH-cam. Can't wait to see how this shapes up, I've been eagerly anticipating this game and I think it could be a real gem.

Hi there! I'm really loving the start with conservation! I'm a horticulture student and stream keeper certified! You're definitely right, but you're forgetting a few important things. Streams and rivers will have flood plains, these can be identified via debris or more aquatic plants. Tree roots definitely do help with river bank protection against erosion, but it's not just roots, it will be rocks, native plants as well. Rivers, creeks, and streams will have pools and riffles, pools being well pools, and riffles being sections of rapids! There are tons of bugs that like both sections, and those sections will have different kinds of fish! Fines, gravel, cobble, and boulders are a must for a healthy creek/river/stream. Riffles are also super important because they give the water the oxygen they need, no riffles = no life.

I just love infodumping, im huge about conservation in urban settings, and learning about streams and creeks etc was lots of fun.

Also there's a reason behind streams being so curvy! It's actually a thing that's extremely common and prevalent! I'm not too sure memory wise, but I believe they are like that to take flooding pressures off or lightening the load /pressures on the stream itself

Thank you SO MUCH for that info! Looks like I’ll need to add a bunch of things to the river :)
Might take me a bit to implement it, but rest assured I’ll definitely be doing it

All I can say is this is the video I have been looking for! I wanted to find a prehistoric kingdom series that had this exact pacing. I love the blend of real time and time lapse segments. I know its a lot of work, but these are amazing please keep up the good work.
The music choice is a bit too subtle though. Maybe something more present during time lapse segments

I love how you make the land more natural and build the park around the natural layout of it. I never liked when planet zoo youtubers just make everything flat, the map, the enclosures, everything lol.
Also the volcano definitely fits, they were all over the late Cretaceous period lol.

This is so inspiring! I'm subbing to follow this along. I'm loving the game so far and I feel like I'm leaving this video with some ideas on how to work with the brush for foliage. :D

Really cool stuff. 🙂 I don't have patience to play PK because I feel I have no idea what I'm doing (too much freedom!!), but seeing stuff like this helps.

This is a lot like planet zoo, but with many prehistoric animals, but I'm not sure if this game will have DLC packs in the future for the full release?
