Can a budget friendly gravel bike tire actually be great to ride? You may be surprised. I was!

You can't ask for a better review of these tires. Thank you very much!

Where is this old ridge route ride located?

It was built to connect LA and Bakersfield, California, built in the 20s or so. Some of it still remains and is generally located out of Castaic and ends at the 138 Hwy 30 some miles north. It is often gated at the ends.

Thanks for an excellent review. Another ‘old’ guy here, and was looking to replace the Kenda Small Block Eights on my Breezer Radar. I’ll be sticking to mostly pavement until next spring and I just ordered these after watching your video.

Good review sir, thank you! I have looked to many of the written reviews at ridinggravel for guidance on tire info. I have been riding the 650b AC Aggregate for a while now on my Revolt, and have been quite pleased! I just ordered the Wentworth tires to try out as I've been pushing the Aggregates beyond their intended use, and will likely try the Udden next. Seem to be pretty damn good tires, especially for the money. Keep up the great work!

My pleasure. A/C was one of those companies that just faded out of contact with me despite promises, etc. Too bad, but that happens. I don't take it personally after all these years.
I hope that you find that 'right tire' and get out there!

Thanks, Alan. I'm glad it was helpful. I am still working through how to best do reviews for You Tube...I am used to breaking them into multiple parts when I write for the web, but for video? Is it better to have one longer video or two shorter ones? Any feedback is welcome from those watching.

@@oldguyandabike to be honest I like the one long video when it’s a good one which is what this one was , I’ve been running S Works Pathfinder Tyres in a 42 ,,they only come in that size I’ve had them 6 months I’ve only had to use my Dynaplug once due to a nail they are very fast indeed I’ve got a pair of Tufo Thundero tyres that will go on next in about a month they are great value down here in Australia, the American classics are not quite as cheap by the time they get here unfortunately
