    Those bigger snapper were snatching the bait by the head. Put the hook closer to the belly and head. Bigger ones bite around there, smaller ones around the tail. Snell two hooks maybe. Great session.

    Great stuff. Missed the action that cup morning, I was sitting way furthur out. I wondered why all the kayaks were there, but peddled over too late. Got a 67cm snapper the week prior though

      yeah mate it is, from late September they usually start coming into the shallows of a Port Phillip Bay

    All my rod are tied too my kayack so i dont loose any rods

      So that was my rod that went into the drink. Personally I won't run rod tethers due to the risk they present in the event of a roll over, a kayaker passed away when he rolled over and his tethers backpacked him to the underside of the kayak and he couldn't get out from under it.
      I understand why people use them, don't get me wrong. But for me personally that is not a risk I am willing to take. I would rather risk losing an outfit than risk losing my life.
