Those bigger snapper were snatching the bait by the head. Put the hook closer to the belly and head. Bigger ones bite around there, smaller ones around the tail. Snell two hooks maybe. Great session.
Great stuff. Missed the action that cup morning, I was sitting way furthur out. I wondered why all the kayaks were there, but peddled over too late. Got a 67cm snapper the week prior though
Fair out mate! How was that for a sesh! Some of those drag peels were amazing!!! You didn’t even know which rod to pick up 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the amazing work! Tight lines brotha! 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙
Cheers Buddy, it was a pretty epic session and a lot of fun especially when that drag went screaming a few times. just got to hold on and hope for the best hahaha
So that was my rod that went into the drink. Personally I won't run rod tethers due to the risk they present in the event of a roll over, a kayaker passed away when he rolled over and his tethers backpacked him to the underside of the kayak and he couldn't get out from under it. I understand why people use them, don't get me wrong. But for me personally that is not a risk I am willing to take. I would rather risk losing an outfit than risk losing my life.
Well done!
Awesome mate, well done 👏🏼👏🏼
thanks buddy
