The lighter green tips on your garland would be new growth if it was real. It looks great to me the way it is. There are variations of color in nature :)
I have a real pine tree outside my house and actually when the new growth starts on the ends of the tree it's always a lighter color so actually very realistic for the garland to have the lighter color. I love it and picked up 4 after your post on instagram. My boyfriend says it didn't compare to any others❤
Thank you for sharing. Always inspiring. 🙂 I quite like the garland with the lighter green on the ends. To me it looks like what you would see in nature with the new growth on the tips being a brighter green and the darker older growth in the middle and toward the opposite end of the branch.
I have the hummus ribbon and I love it! I can't wait to go to Hobby Lobby as soon as I'm recovered from my hip replacement surgery. I hope there's something left, lol. I grabbed that same garland also because I needed something full that could easily drape for my board n batten peg hooks. I’m going to hit the tips with spray paint also just up pull back that light green tone (not my fave either). I get what others are saying about new growth so I won’t cover it all but just make it less “perfect” that leans fake to me.., going more sporadic
Go way in the back wall of hobby lobby they have those in my store like hitten the back way up on the wall they don’t have cause there so big but go way in the back wall good luck
If the light green was spread out more into the branches and sporadic I’d definitely agree! But the calculated dipped light green tips all the way across is what makes it look fake to me 🥲
Check one of the middle isles of HL mine has 3 full sections of just that Garland... Like tons of it spread throughout the store.. I assume they know it will sell well.. love them..
Hobby Lobby's selection of Christmas merch was disappointing this year! Most years there seems to be explicitly Christ-celebrating merch, but not so it seems this year (and I've made several trips to different locations looking for such!). In the past, I'd been able to get embossed ribbon that said "Bread of Life" and little bookmarks that said "Happy Birthday Jesus," along with matching treat sacks. They did get some larger Christmas coloring books, but they seemed to sell-out quickly. Their buyers seem to have gone 'soft' and 'secular' in their choices for merch this year.
