Absolutely the best board it has all the features 1. Not Hot-swap🎉 2. Basically un customizable 🎉 2. plastic🎉 4. Dell🎉 5. Membrane best switches right?😅
i seriously cant believe how underrated of a content creator you are, all your videos are insanely high quality and more enjoyable to watch than youtubers with 100's of thousands of subscribers keep it up!
“A month’s rent” in regards to 300£ is so sad to me as someone where rent for anywhere worth living is > 1000£ (and only for a nice closet) and that’s just ridiculous when 300£ is also a damn good amount of money
Agreed fully on how the budget segment has really came so far. To the point where i would say the premium segment needs to innovate more to be worth their price point. I landed myself a Jane ME v2 recently after spending most of my previous time in the entry/budget levels with the likes of qk65. While the typing experience, aesthetics and finishing quality does looks really premium, the design aspects of the board in terms of the magnetic back, the QC (magnet piece came detached when the board arrived) and lots of design issues when opening up the board just really gets to me. Things that dont appear on event entry level boards these days. In the end i sold it off at cost to someone else who might appreciate it better, but i feel it showcases the stagnation in improvement along the higher end market.
Been seeing a lot of new boards in gb recently being sold at a "high price" for my country's standards. Honestly don't see why I'd buy an expensive board if the design isn't unique. Most I'd be willing to spend on a BB kit would be $300
I like GMK so I’ve named every keycap set Henceforth they shall be called Henry Jr the Third Their designs* are fantastic, and I like that they’re made in Germany, but after using PBT and more accessible sets, I’ve got to say that I really prefer it Nice vid *edit: the designs they manufacture, which as Eugene has pointed out are designed by individuals/groups and manufactured through GMK
GMK doesn't design any keycaps so you can't give them credit for having good designs. It's the designers that choose to run their keycap designs using the high-quality manufacturer which is why the designers are in control of whether they run using SA, KAT, PBTFans, GMK, etc. (besides clone makers).
@@dhaerque thank you for the clarification Obviously (to anyone in the hobby) GMK doesn’t design their sets, but what I meant was *the designs GMK manufactures Manufacturing with ABS gives them a huge advantage over PBT in the colors department, but I still prefer the feel and longevity of PBT. That being said, again, supporting ethical manufacturing practices is a huge plus for GMK (assumedly, as they are produced in a country with some amount of labor laws, compared to most keycap manufacturing which is done in countries that use exploitative practices and slave labor)
Tofu d60/65 series drop series and gmmk pro were the main fads maybe even the blade
I think the Dell KB216 is a great budget keyboard option
Endgame right there
Budget topre

For me most of the budget boards are a dealbreaker beceause of the lack of QMK/VIA.
Great video!

Back in 2019 the only entry level you have are GK61 and KBDFans Tofu60. That's it, that's the options lmao.

the thing about geon boards is he makes no money from them he breaks even
so you are getting the most quality per penny than any other board
Big love to Geon honestly
I see the moondrop chu in your ears. Another hobby you're sinking into? ;)
Unfortunately for my bank balance! Hahah
nice video, not looking for a budget keyboard but I just enjoy your content!

Until the qk75 and Zoom TKL became in stock boards, Keychron is still the king of the "Budget" (More like mid tier boards) Category.
yep, same reason why i hate qk boards as well
I'm happy with zoom65 it comes with everything! I put all the foam in too lol xD
Nicely written content!
Wow

what were the "design issues" you noticed internally?

I really like the Frog TKL. 🐸
Shame it's still out my budget.
My favourite board by far at the moment!
