For this video I have trialed the use of captions to help viewers identify the buses. Let me know what yous think as I may do this for future bus videos.
Yeah the captions are good. An idea I got off another rail channel, is to put captions in the closed captions section, so the viewer can turn them on or off. (Not sure what the closed captions are actually called, but they are the TH-cam thing. You can somehow right your own.
+Tanki Divide Thanks for the feedback. I'll investigate the use of closed captions. My only reservation about using them is that they don't appear on all devices (including my tablet) and according to my youtube analytics, tablets are this channels most popular playback device.
+ThebusofdoomFSX yes, I do realise that, they work on my iPad mini, but not my old iPod. I am yet to find a way around that :D The only other option is to do captions like this video, or to put it in the description. Both ways will annoy people, and so will the closed captions. So, a dilemma has been reached...
+Sydney Trains Facts & Trivia I suppose it depends on what mode of transport you're mostly interested in. If you're interested in trains, stick to the lines where trains are most frequent. Trains run every 10 minutes (weekdays & weekends) between Flinders Street & Frankston, Dandenong & Clifton Hill. Also to Newport on weekdays & Ringwood on weekends. By September the new stations at Ormond, McKinnon & Bentleigh on the Frankston line would have opened up so check them out if you get the chance. Anywhere between Footscray & Sunshine is good as well if you want to see V/Line trains & freight. If you're interested in trams anywhere in the CBD & Docklands is fine, but also check out the Swanston Street / St Kilda Road corridor & St Kilda. If you want to see the new E Class trams they're on route 11 & 96. If you're interested in buses the eastern suburbs surrounding Doncaster is where you'll get the most variety, including the ancient MAN SL200's if they're still around by then. If you do venture out that way then do check out Box Hill where you'll get trains, trams & buses in the one place.
My favourite is the Volvo b10m high floor near the end😊
Great
