    Good grief, this episode aggravated me back then and it still does now. If I was Frankie when Herriman forbade me from going to the concert, I would have told him, “Clean this place yourself because I quit! And go fuck yourself!” And then I would have gone to the concert anyway.

      Adding that i disliked that Mr. Herriman was overlooking the obvious bad behavior and naughty actions of Goofball without any reason, like ignored the stains and crumbles in mouths of Goofball and Bloo, that were to plain sight, and instead Mr. Herriman only was scolding Frankie for the disappeared food that clearly Bloo and Goofball ate.
      Or also, when Goofball brought his teenagers friends into the mansion, and they leave a notable mess, the Mr. Herriman overlooked their actions, and he was simply scolding Frankie for be "doing a mediocre job", but didn't even bother in scold Goofball, despite his naughty behavior.
      Being honest, i dare to says that Mr. Herriman did all this intentionally, out of spite Frankie, like if he had something against her, and overlooked the actions of Goofball, to uses Frankie as scapegoat to tortures her, making me hate this wannabe bunny.

    Just watched this episode again online. I was rooting for Frankie the entire time. Goofball is a gross freeloader and manipulator. Imaginary friend or not, his scummy behavior in this episode really made me mad lol. It was so satisfying seeing Frankie throw an apple at his head and rip his “nose” off.
    I get it’s a cartoon and they wanted to do the whacky unrealistic ending, but for the sake of justice I’d prefer the story of Goofball being a human in the end. And ah hell nah. They made Frankie miss her concert. That’s just unacceptable and her reaction was justified. Goofball is very punchable.
    I did like Mr Herriman’s oblivious comments. He sold the humor and Mac is just like… what up Frankie, did I miss something ? But this episode makes Cheese look like an angel compared to Goofball.

    • @josecuestas7246
      @josecuestas7246 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Personally, i disliked more Mr. Herriman than Goofball, because if you analyzes, the bunny was actually overlooking the actions of Goofball without any reason.
      Like when Goofball and Bloo ate all the food of the refrigerator, and they both had stains and crumbles in their mouths to plain sight. Yet, Mr. Herriman ignored this, and only was focused in scold Frankie for the food that this duo ate.
      Or also, when Goofball brought his teenagers friends into the mansion, and they ended leaving a notable mess, Mr. Herriman ended chastising Frankie for be "doing a mediocre job", overlooking completely the actions of Goofball.
      Adding that i also hated that Mr. Herriman showed an irrational favoritism toward Goofball, to the point of be caring to him. To the point of demand Frankie buys more food, because "Goofball deserve a well cooked home-made food", even disgarding the suggestion of Frankie about ask pizza. But when Goofball suggest ask pizza, Mr. Herriman was willing to please him and accept it, to the point of praise him for "had a good idea", despite to that Frankie suggested this earlier. Without count that when Goofball ask Frankie pay for the pizza, Mr. Herriman made a gesture to forces Frankie complies it.
      To be honest, i consider Mr. Herriman the true main antagonist in this episode, for his illogical and caring treatment toward Goofball, and his notably more unfair treatment toward Frankie.

    In my opinion, as much as I dislike all the torture Frankie suffered, I think I can tolerate Imposter’s Home for Um...Make 'Em Up Pals just a bit more than Everybody Knows It’s Bendy. Not a lot, just a little. Long story short, it kind of reminds me of watching Drake and Josh during my childhood and how it always aggravated me whenever Megan got them in trouble and never got punished throughout the show. Not to mention, their parents always preferred to believe Megan’s word over Drake and Josh’s. Growing up, I always hated seeing a certain character doing something evil and never getting some sort of punishment for it. To me, I felt this was Frankie’s karma for not believing the main characters about Bendy as she’s usually cool with them. This is just my opinion, call me psycho if you want. Although, I wish Mr. Herriman would have suffered through some karma as well after both incidents in Everybody Knows It’s Bendy and Imposter’s Home for Um...Make 'Em Up Pals, and even after how he acted in Destination Imagination. Sometimes, I wish I could see him get kidnapped by Dr. Varnick from Beethoven so he instead could be used as a subject for an explosive ammunition experiment. Any thoughts or comments?

    Frankie was treated badly in this episode because of Goofball. Really doesn't help that Goofball is a unlikable character who is both a lazy bum and mooch.

    Other aspect that i dislikes from this episode, was the fact that Goofball ended being a true imaginary, despite to all the hints showed in the episode that implied that he was a fraud:
    - When Goofball came to the mansion and presented himself, can be noted that Goofball needed some moment to think in his name, implying that he invented it.
    - Also, Goofball asks Frankie to do his math homework, revealing that he go to school, despite to be an imaginary friend.
    - Goofball has teenagers friends, that looks about his age. Adding that one of them refered Goofball like John in the beginning, to quickly correct himself to says Goofball, implying that this wasn't his true name.
    - When Goofball is interrogated about his creator, Goofball had some difficulty to says his name, that curiously ended being similar to his own so called imaginary friend name, adding that can be noted that Goofball was reluctance to calls him, something strange, to considers his claims about that Goofball and his creator are very closed.
    - Finally, when Frankie was disguised like Goof Goof, her costume could fools easily the imaginary friends, though that it proved be inneffective against humans like Mac, and curiously Goofball, implying that he wasn't an imaginary friend, but an imposter disguised.
    To be honest, i think that the fact of that Goofball ended being an imaginary friend, was out of spite Frankie, to that she couldn't get any justice for her suffering during the episode.

    • @Surgemaster2012
      @Surgemaster2012 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ending is made even worse, since the reveal is contradiced by several episodes going forward, the biggest one being Emancipation Complication. That showcases Imaginary Friends aren't allowed in school. When Mac's teacher takes Bloo to be put in a closet until school the end of the day, she directly says something along the lines of Imaginary friends aren't allowed, even when adopted out and Wilt is adopted by the school's principal he's treated as a flagpole. This directly states they are treated as second class citizens by the school system, which was also done with Mr Herriman in Season 3. Because of this, there is no way Goofball would be allowed in school.
      Goofball tells Frankie and Herriman when being interrogated that he and his creator were close, and also shows this when his creator shows up. Yet, he acts hesitant and not willing to call his creator the moment he shows up at the house?

    • @josecuestas7246
      @josecuestas7246 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Surgemaster2012 Exactly. All this points were actually hints that implied that Goofball was a fraud, particulary by the fact that when Frankie was disguised as "Goof Goof", the other residents of the mansion were easily decieved by her costume, leaving clear that Goofball shouldn't even put a lot effort to makes them think that he was an imaginary friend.
      To be honest, i disliked notably that Goofball ended being a true imaginary friend, as i think that this was more to punishes Frankie even more, as she ended even like a stupid in front of everyone when Goofball was proved be an imaginary friend, like an insult to injury after all her torture during the episode.

    For years I have always stated Imposter's Home as the worst episode of the show and that still holds true. It's basically just a worse version of the Bendy episode and exposes the worst elements about Frankie's role in the show. While this would be explored as a plotline later, at this point the Fosters residence just see Frankie as a maid and treat her as such. When she takes on the whole Goof Goof persona, all anyone cared about was the fact Frankie wasn't there to do stuff for them. Not only that, the episode also leaves a lot of unfortunate implications throughout the episode. Like the many contrivances of Goofball. For instance, they reference the fact he wants to drive to get to where his creator lives in Canada, yet it never occurs to him to just pick up a phone to call up, he's actually hesitant to do so when Frankie insists. Why would he not consider a phone call or be just as adamant about wanting to go back with his creator? There's also the fact that his clown nose doesn't cover the entire nose, it's just at the tip of it, so how could it hide a long elephant trunk? (To be a little fair, I guess you could suspend disbelief in that imaginary friends can do all sorts of wacky things with how they are created) Not to mention, Goofball has actual teenage friends, did he just meet them before he came to Fosters or know them for a while? Because it seems strange that he would have good friends, despite being from Canada. And even if the episode wanted to be a lesson about not judging something by its cover it doesn't justify the treatment Frankie gets in the episode.
    Mr. Herriman for instance basically abuses her and its argubly his most insufferable appearance, to the point a Cinderella homage is played when she's punished before the "reveal" there are also other implications I dislike too. Like how its implied Mac rats Frankie out as Goof Goof, seeing how he's the only one who saw through the disguise and only decided not to saying anything until Frankie had to bribe him. Which is an out of character moment! Also the fact he took everyone to the concert that Frankie wanted to go to with the money Frankie gave him! I also found it implied that Bloo set up Goofball to annoy Frankie in many ways, especially with how quick he seemed to want Frankie to admit she was wrong in the end. It really makes everyone but Frankie incredibly unlikable. It's one thing if Mr. Herriman is a Jerkass toward her, but this episode takes it a bit too far to where baby imaginary friends say they hate her and everyone only misses her because she isn't there to maid them. For me this makes the ending of Season 1's Busted more satisfying because she attacks Herriman, which he certainly deserves at this point in the show, compared to his more likable character in Season 1. I always disliked that element because it always made me question why Madame Foster didn't do anything about Herriman abusing Frankie at times or their issues with one another. But then again considering how unlikable Madame Foster is, It doesn't surprise me. People like to give Bloo crap, and yeah he does deserve it. But he has his moments, Herriman and Madame Foster I found to always be more unlikable than Bloo! And even then Bloo was unlikable too post Season 1. Minus a few appearances here and there.

      Adding that regarding Goofball, i disliked the fact that he ended being a true imaginary friend, as the episode gave several hints that implied that he was a fraud.
      Like your point about Goofball's creator, in that wasn't only illogical about why he simply didn't calls him, but also the fact that can be noticed that Goofball need a moment to think in his name, that ended being very similar to his own so called name, implying that he invented, especially to consider that early, Goofball claimed that he and his creator were very closed, making illogical that he showed some apparent difficutly to remember the name of his creator.
      Adding also the fact that besides his teenagers friends, is also strange that a guy that lives in Canada, was in a school of USA, as was implied when he forced Frankie to do his math homework, leaving several plotholes in the episode.
      To be honest, i think that the fact of be an imaginary friend in the end, was more like a forced plot, to gives a middle finger to Frankie, to that she couldn't get some proper justice for the treatment that she should endured during the episode.

      And to be more fair, Bloo would also, most of the time, not come out on top in the end in most episodes I remember. So it's not the show WASN'T aware of his flaws.

    I have a sense that the entire show is about Frankie getting mad and Mr. Herriman being a jerk to her (while Bloo is a jerk to everyone) While she has the more practical chores, he have the administration ones.
    And why Frankie has to be the only one taking care of the imaginary friends? Madame Foster or even Mr. Herriman don't hire new employees?
    I know it's supposed to be a cartoon where whacky things happen. But, man... I tried to watch this on HBO Max and, after the first three episodes, the fourth one started with Frankie hurrying to finish the Madame Foster party's confection, worried about the cake and Mr. Herriman scolding her for forgetting about the cake. And asks her to bring one more thing for the party in a short time before the party happen.
    I remember a (special?) episode where Frankie was in some special imaginary dimension, where she was treated very well. And when everyone came to rescue her, they said something like "Hey, I miss your making me things". She realized it and decided to stay there, but things happens and everyone came back to the Foster Home.
    Idk, I liked this show when I was a kid and it can have fun episodes, but these recurring situations is almost unbearable. Not only this, despite the first three episodes was likable, the interactions were kinda shallow, and Mac calling Terrace stupid frequently, despite it being a kid manner to refer to someone mean (Terrace is a terrible brother), and everyone kinda boosting his smart kid ego, despite they being older than him, I guess it shows the spirit of the show.

    It's weird, I was just thinking "this would have been so much better if he was a human". Figures corporate meddling would result in the (second at bare minimum) most hated episode of the show.
    But I don't know, I think you could make this work with those changes: just have him be a teenager that's free loading and trying to get out of responsibility.

    Mr. Herriman forbidding Frankie from going to the concert would have been more understandable if Frankie was a teen(16 or 17 I think) like initially planned.

    Why couldn't there be more Bloo Superdude episodes in this show? Those episodes were perfect.

    When i rewatched this episode i knew what kind of message they were giving us, and then i theorize, imo, that all imaginary friends can tell by their own senses that he really was an imaginary friend, and that his creator probably wanted a sibling so he just- Imagine an sibling to grow up with him.

    How did the imaginary friends (expect Mac and Goofball) easily fell for Frankie's obvious disguise

      Maybe the imaginary friends aren't the most cunning beings.
