When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

Any one else have problems with the pneumatic pistons ? Am assembling now but the back one doesn't even move when i apply pressure to it. Is this normal ? Any help appreciated
Hello Jody, this is normal. Please do not try to compress the gas spring by hand, it's impossible, too strong. Please follow steps 43-45 of the downloadable assembly instructions : flat-bike-lift.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/flat_bike_lift_user_guide_09_15_OE.pdf you find on the homepage, footer. So : connect the gas spring to the "arm" of the lift, selecting the right position according to the weight of your bike, and then simply use the lift as shown in the video. Do not compress the gas spring, connect it to the "arm" and use the flat-bike-lift.
