Enjoyed this video as well as the other one. I moved to Hurricane 4 years ago to paint the scenery in this area. This video helped me to get info as to what the heck I was actually painting. It's amazing that your videos covered about all of the scenes that I have painted and it helped to shed light on this VERY interesting part of the United States. Thanks!
You're welcome and thanks for commenting. Funny, we moved here 8 years ago and began doing more photography and having so many pictures inspired us to create these videos. Yes, this is a very interesting place we live in...
I absolutely love all of your videos. I would like to return to that area. Would Hurricane be the best central location to camp at with our 45' Class A ? Are all of the roads accessible with an F-150 4x4 with just all-terain tires? How many days should we plan on to cover everything in your Part 1 & 2 videos ?
Thank you! There are campgrounds all over St. George and Hurricane. We're not campers, so we can't make a recommendation. The roads are fine as long as it hasn't rained or snowed in the past 30 days. I'd still inquire locally though. Days? 1 if you want to be rushed, 2 for both parts, it depends on your own pace.
Yes, we have stayed at the Willowind RV Park in Hurricane several times. Nice campground. I was more concerned about where a sort of central location would be. 1 or 2 days is all? I thought it'd take a week to see everything in your videos. That makes me feel better so i'll alot 3-4 days , maybe 5 in case of bad weather. We would be out there in the Fall (Sept - Oct time frame) and I know I'll need to start making reservation very soon. I've done the Shaffer Trail, Moki Dugway roads already with no problems.
@@MonacoMike oh yea, Willowind is the best. Geeze, I wish I had that much time! If that's the case, spend the whole week. It again just depends on the weather. For instance, you don't want to drive the road over Smith Mesa after it's rained or snowed over the past 30 days. Snow and rain is forecast over this weekend. Otherwise, anything with a paved road, naturally you'll be fine.
What did you do? Get out of your car at one of the stops and fall down? If that becomes a continuing problem, I would recommend taking these tours while wearing a helmet ;-)
This is my favorite channel!! Maps, info, and places to visit are excellant!!

I agree with you! I love this channel as well! I always think of him as "Professor BackRoads." So informative! 😄👍
