yea she's so well spoken. She is essentially in the middle of her professional career and combine that with being so young..all these experiences like interviews/conventions/interacting with fans and being on set for television. i'd assume its a gold mine for learning.

You have to admit that she was a little too sarcastic here. I love sarcasm, the trick is to sprinkle it in here and there. She was using it almost constantly.
If one of the boys gave this exact same interview, there wouldn't be nearly as many comments about cockiness, too much sarcasm, and lack of grounding. Girls being judged for acting in a way that's fine for boys is a big issue, and I think this comment section is a good example of that. Anyway, I happened upon her Insta while trying to locate the dress she wore on Jimmy Fallon's show (it's Burberry), and yes, there is a LOT of her just thanking everyone for everything. lol Lots of gratitude there, for sure.

I wish every success for Millie. For me the emotional core of Stranger Things was with her portrayal of Eleven. Amongst a cast of some great actors / actresses she was the clear standout. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for her...and look forward to Season 2 of ST ;-)

I honestly never knew wanting attention was healthy. When I was 12, I was getting cyber bullied pretty bad (still am, but it's stopped) and it was drilled in my head that attention was bad. That you weren't supposed to love getting attention. I was taught that wanting and loving attention made you an attention seeker. Sorry for the rant there, just had to get it out
First of all I'm a big Millie fan, she's probably my favorite child actor ever. I'm noticing in these interviews lately she is extremely confident and believes she is great. I'm not comfortable with that. We all know you're great and talented, but you need to stay grounded. Appreciate this positive attention you're receiving but don't take it for granted and don't let it make you feel like you're the best. Feeling that way may hinder your acting in the future because you might subconsciously add a wink and a smile into your acting. We need you to stay the Millie that was amazing as Eleven a girl that was both innocent and badass at the same time. In other words, reach for the sky but keep your feet on the ground.

She's like 12. I don't think there's anything wrong with her having a good self-esteem. People want to root for meekness, but in the real world people who actually are meek or introverted are treated like shit. In her line of work it's a lot better for her to know who she is and what she wants. For all we know this might be her way of dealing with insecurity.
You may be right. She played the role of the ultimate introvert to perfection. How could someone so confident play that part so well?

Eleven was the ultimate outcast and we could all relate to that, but Millie isn't Eleven, and maybe she could play that so well because she's the opposite? I just don't think it's right to judge a 12 year olds behavior based on platforms like this. She's a kid, she has a lot of energy, and she's trying to get a hang of newfound stardom. She's not being rude or anything, and she obviously getting a lot of compliments.

They're likely privately schooled on-set. She mentioned she "looked out the window" during some of the stunts...
They filmed the show in Georgia, and they were schooled on set. One of them posted a pic of Millie doing homework while still wearing the wig and pink dress.
