It's so good when you find a snag that produces fish cast after cast regardless of the size, just pure fun. A mate and I found ourselves in a similar situation throwing vibes and paddletails at a sand bank corner entrance to a small creek where we pulled up for the night. we pulled 60-70 fish out of there over a couple of hours, a lot of rats but some good keepers as well - biggest was 99cm - all were released. Another great episode snagga, looking forward to the rest of the trip footage. And to answer your question about which side - I would work both from the left to the right then back again trying to be as systematic as possible until I got a strike then work that area. I'd expect the bigger fish to be in the back eddy but not always the case. I don't have livescope but do have sounder with sidescan so still pretty much have to work at it old school once you stop moving. Cheers fella and keep them coming, can't say how much I enjoy seeing your back yard. Definitely coming to see you when things settle down here........probably during the runoff in 2025
@@darrylminerds2622 Morning Darryl, That awesome 60-70 Barra in a couple of hours great fishing 99cm ULITTLERIPPER Mate happy to point you in the right direction in 2025 and thank you for the comment on where you would cast. Great to hear other people’s thoughts and definitely never to old to learn new tricks 😂l Cheers mate 💙😁👌🍻🎣🎣🎣🎣
G'day Dave Great instinct and polarised sunnies to pick up barra hidden behind trees. Never a dull moment when the barra are chewin. Raptors getting the job done. OWGOODZAT! Just finished flushing the 50 yammie with Barra, Jacks and some muddies. The Major BB🎩🐟🎣👍🤩
Pearler of a session there Dave. That snag was loaded 😮. I reckon id fish the back eddy BTW although i do have a habit of throwing lures straight into the trees so im just happy when it hits the water 😂
Haha you’re a champion mate (when it hits the water) cracker. Yeah I prefer back eddies but then it can be total different one day to another. Cheers mate 😁🍻👌🎣🎣🎣
Hey Vicki, Interesting as I would cast the back Eddie to start with then move to the edge of it and then to the left hand side. It’s great to see what other people would do in this situation definitely can learn from the comments. Thank you for commenting Cheers 👌😁🍻🎣🎣🎣
In my estimation a perfect place for a couple of big jewies to hold in that back eddy, but the only way to get them is with the type of lure I suggested to you. Always cast up current and jigged back covering the bottom 50cms of the water column. Until I started fishing the bottom 50cms I had never caught any number of black jew on lures.Cheers mate.
@@snagabarra6232 Happy to help Dave, I would just love to see you catch a good jewie using the lure and method I explained. Landing meter plus jewies in a creek is such a load of fun and very satisfying. If you think jacks play dirty just wait till you hook a big jewie in the confines of a creek. They really will test your gear out. Cheers mate.
Dave, I know you use a generator to top up your batteries but given that you have your Bimini up all the time have you considered putting a solar blanket on top of it? On the back eddy question, current creates walls of temperature difference and confluence that small bait fish find hard to cross. Any predatory species, Barra included will take advantage of this so I would cast down the edge of the eddy on the right to start with but the left hand point is still worthy because the bait will try and use the shallower water there to find cover so there is a good chance Barra will be patrolling the edge.

Hey John,
With the amount of power I use solar won’t cut it as I would one be able to carry big enough solar panels 👌🍻👍🎣👌
Barra stacked up there😅❤
