I'm honestly surprised some ROB enthusiast didn't program a virtual ROB in Unity that can interact with a NES emulator and follow the commands in the game. It seems simple enough, you would need a program that can read the player inputs from the nes emulator as well as be able to see what's on screen
The problem with that idea is that the emulator itself needs to communicate back to Unity itself which complicates matters as you would likely have to modify the emulator itself and possibly the roms also
This is the first video I've seen depicting both R.O.B. and a game. I was so confused until I realized the two were edited out of sync ;) I am entranced and enthralled by this device, and I can't believe it hasn't been replicated. I believe he could have been *my* buddy too :-/
superkane 83 now let’s hope that nintendo will bring back ROB for the switch with exact the same features & accessoires of it except that it will now instead use voice commands from those hopefully ever HD remakes of thosr games , to execute commands that way. This will make it work with every tv type.
My ROB only goes 3 positions when he moves vertically; high, middle, low. He doesn't stop in the other two positions for some reason, which makes grabbing the some blocks not possible. I wish they made an updated Rob for switch, I woukd absolutely get it. He saved the video game industry in the 80s, fulfilling his mission.
warrengonline i bought one on ebay but looking more closer to those images now and i discovered that those nessecarry claws are missing, turning it useless(yet),so i have to buy them saperately, each costing $26 X2 = 52 ,that pure BS because they’re scratchy too. The worst thing is, it could buy it directly for $ 368 or place a bid for $80, so i did just that, but realizing now that the gyros, claws and another standard is missing. No i got no regrats buying it but i hate to have to buy more stuff along the way thus costing me even more time, stress and money then nessecarry, pfffft.
i am trying to get one. Everyone i talk to thinks this would be so boring and little bro says doesn't have the patient for it, but i would love to try to beat both games.
+Brendan Leonard If you wanna shoot something, use a Zapper Gun and play Duck Hunt. ROB doesn't shoot lasers, at all; it only does that in the Smash games as a playable fighter.
I was thinking, how about a revision of a ROB robot wich instead executes commands from spoken words trough a microphone, and since the game stackup already contains words like,,left, richt,up,down etc,,, it's possible to take advantage of it,you only should have to point the robot at the tv speaker and just don't care about type of tv and it’s refresh rate, it should work on any tv. Sure the quality of those voices are low BUT redefined word recognition should be able to recognize those low quality words from the game, i hope so.
@@mrhead6856 but it would be freaking damn awesome if hyperkin would come with such new revision of rob the robot wich responds on certain words in stack up such as left, right,up,down etc,,,
It's interesting to see the reflection of the green screen flash off ROB's face before it even happens on the gameplay recording. I'm curious what gets shown to ROB to make him move
Hey! Love the video! I'm creating one that, in part, touches on Stack-Up. Could I utilize some of this video in my story?! I'll of course give credit in the video and description. Please let me know! Appreciate you considering it :)
@@thevgcollector Here you go: th-cam.com/video/agn_YkzQ71c/w-d-xo.html THANK YOU SO MUCH! The Stack-Up portion of the video would NOT have been the same without your video. Can't thank you enough!
Hello, I do not know how to contact you, I wanted to know if it is possible to use a few minutes of the game process that appears in your video for a video on my channel about ROB, of course credited both when the footage is shown and in the final credits.
A lot of the robots didn't work right and always glitched. Even the brand new ones. What a waste of money getting the NES set. At least the 🥇 gun worked!
Even if they are slow and only had two games, I really want a R.O.B! Just because, plus R.O.B. is cool in smash!
R.O.B. is the fastest robot in the west on Super Smash Bros. That NES R.O.B. is like, the slowest robot in the east.
I have a R.O.B but I need the nes console and the games and all the accessories
I have all that is needed except rob it’s that he is too expensive on eBay and I want to get lucky and find one for cheep he is so cute

@@joeoneknows1372 I don't see why you would have to change much for the rom, just the emulator
R.O.B. looks like he's scared you're gonna yell at him at any moment.
Bruh he’s in super smash bros he could laser beam ya

Nintendo Labo might bring him back!
Have you seen Floid? We attempted.. Bendugames channel
Also the footage of R.O.B. is mirrored, I believe.
i love rob and thank nitendo that they remembered him and added him in smash

Gyromite i think is really fun, the slowness makes it really challenging playing with rob.
Just unlocked him at Mario kart DS :O
I thought you said "I just blocked him in Mario kart DS"

Wow!!! R.O.B. in ACTION!!!! I've BEGGED to see this in action for over to decades as I could never find a working one.
THANK YOU!!!!!

This is pretty cool. It's too bad they never make stuff like this anymore.
i am trying to get one. Everyone i talk to thinks this would be so boring and little bro says doesn't have the patient for it, but i would love to try to beat both games.
The clips are off sync.
I wish Nintendo will bring him back. Imagine what he can do with the Switch.
How do you make it shoot lasers?
PFFFT HAHAHA! No.
+MarioKnight 22/M22 For Short It was a joke mate.
+Brendan Leonard If you wanna shoot something, use a Zapper Gun and play Duck Hunt. ROB doesn't shoot lasers, at all; it only does that in the Smash games as a playable fighter.
+Coulden Pettit it's a joke. Of course he doesn't shoot lasers.
And in order for R.O.B. to function properly, lowering the brightness is important than having too much light on the subject.
What’s funny is there’s only two NES games that’s compatible with R.O.B.

Stack Up is an NES puzzle game that allows R.O.B. to pick up five different colored pads and put them down when solving puzzles.
It's interesting to see the reflection of the green screen flash off ROB's face before it even happens on the gameplay recording. I'm curious what gets shown to ROB to make him move
That is really cool.
Too bad I never got to experience that.
Mostly because they didn't make NES games for sperm cells
😂
You could just buy it now
Wow...childish
@@irrelevant_channel That's a lot of money. You need ROB, the game, the parts, and a CRT television
me love r.o.b although he takes a long time to do thing he is still awesome i wish i had one :(
the digitized voice sounds southern when it says DOWN UP or CLOSE
Is that the NES R.O.B. with the Famicom R.O.B.'s hands?
Link, the Hero of the Minish the entire robot is the famicom version
actually, yes it is
That's the North American/European one. The Famicom one had the gray texture replaced with red. The arms for Stack Up are red as seen in the video.
Looks like R.O.B. with F.C. Robot parts mixed and matched in.
Hmmmm... I thought I liked this already. Well, I'll like it again! ;)
The accessories that rob has. Is his kart vehicle in Mario kart ds!
Rob more like robo cop
Rob looks kinda weird with the goggleish eyes instead of they two circle eyes.
They should make a Rob classic edition and make it smaller
I need the hands with the foam in it where did u get those?
I found the game box, only with tiles and accessories bases would seem are the robot's hands know if someone would buy them. greetings and good video.
Does Rob have some kind of magnet? How does it get the circles stacked up so easily?
I think ROB is really cute imo
I wish this game is on nintendo switch online nes but that requires the rob toy.
I want one

R.O.B. is pretty cool, but that game is a joke. It reminds me of those little colored rings that infants stack on a pole . . . hehe!
That's not rob it's the famicom version: family computer robot
Same thing dude, it's just the original name.
Didn’t this guy try to kill a angry video game nerd once?
Does this ROB have a down smash?

Matsu C what could you expect from stuff off 1985?
Anno 2018 it’s still amezing.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz rob
Honestly this game sucks... Gyromite is better
Stack up should have been the game that they included with it and not gyromite.
