- Eric has an obvious dislike for Massimo and orders him out of the building when he says he’s come to visit Stephanie. Amber and Deacon follow the doctor’s instructions and are relieved when little Eric’s temperature finally begins to go down. Taylor tells Ridge of Brooke’s plans to win him back and warns that he better keep her away from their children. Taylor is livid and goes on the attack when she finds Brooke offering her children sweets in attempt to win their favor. Ridge must pull the women apart.

Brooke is proving dat Stephanie's hatred towards her is justified !
"I love you guys like you were my own" God this woman has no boundaries.... How can Ridge tolerate this!!
The irony of that statement though. Because fast forward the future, when Brooke sleeps with her Bridget’s husband. So yeah, I guess that pretty much does sum up when she says she loves them like her own . Saying it is only to get close to Ridge anyway because look at how she treats them when they get older and it comes to her having her own kids. Because once Hope came along, Steffy didnt mean anything to her anymore. Same thing with Thomas , he did not care for him at all. Was always on his case . Anything positive towards Ridges kids was all an act to stay on Ridges good side. . she only cares about her own kids and her own history with their fathers. Bridges history with his other children’s mom doesn’t mean anything to her. She’s like a dog with a fire hydrant marking it’s territory. And if that’s the case, then no one on the show would have a chance with any of these men because she’s been with so many(well half of them aren’t even on the show anymore) … Rambling aside, think of the way she truly treats Steffy/Thomas now. No respect at all. Don’t get me honest I laid a lot of the blame on Ridge for that because he never sets any boundaries when it comes to his precious Logan.

@@TrickyNikki44 Taylor can't have said trash about Brooke because everything Brooke does and everything she is is TRASH. You jump completely into the future after Taylor comes back from. By then everything had actually changed and Taylor had no chance (also thanks to Bell's KKL obsession). But that in no way changes the fact that Ridge had a happy relationship and marriage with Taylor before. If you have forgotten, remember his desperation. when Taylor died. He suffered like he did with Caroline's death and Caroline certainly didn't believe that Brooke was the love of his life, otherwise she wouldn't have been married to Ridge. She just knew that Brooke wouldn't miss the chance to "take care of" him anyway, like she always does. Brooke had to constantly use the cheap methods of her sexual charms, since the lady has nothing else to offer, especially not on an intellectual level.

Brooke is trash. Lied about Thomas' paternity and Brooke hated Taylor's kids. Didn't realize that Massimo was Stephanie's confidant. It's too bad they didn't have Massimo and Stephanie create a fashion house, and let Stephanie, Steffy, Thomas run it. FC needed some serious competition It was nice to see Eric unsettled in regards to Massimo with Stephanie.

I’ve been watching 2021 and just randomly clicked on this… I’m seeing in real time why Steffy is Forrestor vs Logan. My God Brooke truly is the worst. I’m not misremembering. There’s a reason I was always team Stephanie and am now team Steffy.
Taylor really lost her mind and Brooke knew the buttons to push. She's nothing but a trollop not to mention an utter sociopath.
I don’t know what makes me more sick: the fact that Brooke is so unbelievably arrogant that she’s sure that Ridge deep down prefers her (even though she said in 1999 that she finally realized that Ridge was really in love with Taylor and she couldn’t see it even though it had always been there for her to see , AND she admitted to Ridge in Italy that she was insecure of their marriage and that’s why she lied), or the fact that she actually has no problem, humanly speaking, say it to Taylor’s face and even tell her she should leave Ridge to save everyone time and heartache.. she’s so disgusting

@@dinagillette1625The back and forth was mostly because of Brooke's manipulations or dead wives. Once Ridge fell in love with Taylor she was always his first choice till she "died" in 2002. Hunter left the show because her child was ill. The story moved on to Ridge-Brooke-Nick triangle. Brad changed the show's direction to try and make Brooke a popular "heroine".
When Hunter returned in 2005 there was a whole excitement of Tridge reunion. By now KKL was a senior and Brad's belle, so they "rewrote" Taylor to make Brooke more likeable. They tried to imply that "Ridge only chose Taylor for his mother", " Taylor was no different from Brooke" etc. Taylor begging for Ridge, using her children etc. was all completely out of character for Taylor.
So Taylor's return in 2005 was heartbreaking for old fans who know the history. I love Hunter but I wish they never brought Taylor back.
(Something similar to what happened when Joana Johanson left. Lucky for Caroline, JJ returned as Karen. So even though Karen was a wreck, the legacy of Cridge remained untouched.)

Stephanie arranged swim lessons so thatTaylor could spend time with Brooke’s children. Intention was building a familial relationship between the kids and Taylor.
Brooke wants Taylor’s husband so she schemes to get close to the children. Her intention was all about sticking it to Taylor and nabbing Ridge. A “cold blooded plot”

I have to say I was bothered both by the swimming lessons and the IoIIipops. In both cases, the mother was disrespected.

There are some differences:
1. Taylor didnt know that Stephanie had called the children.
2. Stephanie was (and still is) close to those kids.
3. Ridge was Taylor's husband.
4. Those weren't Ridge's kids.
@@lil_jon411 yes, because Brooke was told that they were having swimming lessons with an actual instructor and she was Iied to, and instead the lessons were with an unqualified person whom Brooke didn't want spending time with her children, and the purpose was to prepare the children for having Taylor as a "stepmother" when their current family fell apart. It was not okay for the same reasons that Brooke trying to get close to Taylor's children without her knowledge isn't okay. A child's parent has the finaI say in who is looking after their child.
(In some ways the swimming lessons were even worse because Taylor was not a qualified instructor, and swimming is an activity where accidents can happen. But giving kids lots of candy is also something that shouldn't be done without checking with their parents because the parents may have different ruIes about if and when kids are allowed to have candy.)
I saw this episode few months ago and I was like was it QUINN or SHEILA vs BROOKE , well Lt. Baker would have been called after the Hoegan would have been knocked real hard to the floor

Yeah it's hard to overstate how ruinous the Massimo retcon is for the show. It undermines Bill Bell's _entire foundation and story structure._ Ridge not being Eric's son means the whole Golden Boy narrative is wiped out, the way he relates to Thorne is completely different, it means Taylor isn't really a Forrester and her kids aren't really Forresters, it means Ridge as fashion designer and Eric's artistic heir is nullified, it means Brookes idolization of Ridge as a symbol and scion of the Forrester family is meaningless and on and on and on. Ridge may not be a complex character but his position in the show is too important to change like that. Remove that block and the whole show falls apart.

@@annieo6527 yep! Bill was already a shrewd business man (who never lost his company to some ex wife), and the history between him and Steph would have made any rivalry between Bill and Eric sensible, without having to do a complete rewrite of the history of the characters.
@@TriniT21 yes, and the whole introduction where Massimo says that Stephanie "always" kept in touch with him over the years and told him everything that went on in the family just feels so Iazy in terms of storytelling, because it suddenly gives Massimo access to a lot of inside information about past storylines that he shouldn't have because he wasn't _there,_ without the writers actually having to provide him with that information on screen.

But of course the point of this storyline is to retcon Ridge's paternity, and Brad couldn't use Bill for that because Ridge was married to Caroline.

Well you are all completely out of it. Someone wrote that now is the end of bb as we know it. What a joke the best stories are yet to come and beautiful trips to beautiful locations. Just hate to think that Taylor will be leaving and Ridge will go back to Brooke and then when Hunter is fired from her job she returns to BB but nothing is the same. And why should it be. There is nothing wrong with Brooke giving candy to the kids. I remember Taylor giving swimming lessons to Brookes kids without her knowing it. I even remember Taylor advising Brooke when she was leaving Eric so the kids could adjust that he had to see them every morning and every evening what a joke. So why doesn't Ridge put Brooke in her place??????
That was me. What I was referring to was the introduction of Massimo and the rewrite of Ridge's paternity, which undermines the entire premise of the show. The Forresters have always been written as a kind of "royal" family with Ridge as the "crown prince". If Ridge is no longer the heir to the Forrester throne (or even a Forrester at all), everything falls apart.
And I didn't say it was the end, I said it was the _beginning_ of the end, because Brad 🔔 is now making that one fataI writing mistake that will eventually make a complete mess of the entire show.
@@annieo6527 They are not real royalty. Eric doesn't come from money. His father was a tailor. The rest of that Forrester family wasn't treated as royalty (John Forrester and his daughter's Jessica and Ivy).
Stephanie's family is the one who comes from money. Ridge from that POV is still the crown prince of two rich families. (Douglas and Marone)
The Forresters (Eric and Stephanie) have been fashion royality and with that Ridge's status won't really chance, regardless of his paternity. Ridge is still the only "son" able to follow in Eric's shoes as great fashion designer. Thorne might have ended up being Eric's first biological son, but Ridge still will be treated as the *crown prince* of the company.
