the interviewer is looking for complex answers from Kobe as to why he is so successful and when Kobe reveals that it is actually so simple, the interviewer cannot fathom that and is constantly trying to get complex answers and I think this is because we as humans want a reason as to why we are not successful. I find Kobe very interesting as he tells you something straight and with this interview, I realise life is really simple. The difference between human and succesful athletes is that athletes take responsibility. We as humans should take responsibility of ourselves. This interview keeps talking about "god given obsession" and Kobe is constantly saying that he does not have that. It is simply loving something so much that you don't find it as work.

I had just been listed to be on the team in my freshman year. I knew I was probably the worst kid on the team so I had made a commitment to get better. I had just read this book about Kobe and his "Mamba Mentality," and I said to myself that I will make our team win states. I have been getting up around 5 to practice all throughout quarantine. I know I won't be the best player on my team because we have at least 3 kids going d1 out of high school, but I know I will let us win states. In our sophomore season, I got us a spot in the playoffs in the state. I may not be good, but Kobe gave me inspiration to be better. Rest in peace King.
Wow.. goosebumps the whole time. His game will always have him be a icon but the way he would speak as just a regular human being is what makes him a legend. Still can’t believe he’s gone.
He definitely didn't leave anything on the table... His death really reminded me to work my hardest on my passion because life is too short and unpredictable... Whoever is reading this, keep grinding on your passion and I wish you a very successful and enjoyable life.

I always taught Kobe was raw talent but listening to Kobe, how he sharpened his skills, and had amazing passion and discipline for his craft is just inspiring. He may be gone but he is in our hearts.
This is the man. I was a huge Kobe fan growing up. Love my lakers. I developed schizoaffective disorder at 17 and got locked up for a stabbing at 20. Been in a mental hospital for the last ten years. It is because we can never be perfect but we can chase to reach perfection
@@mackvaclaw7048 Kobe will surely be missed he is truly a student of life willing to learn anything I even saw him in Bruce Lee's documentary "I am Bruce Lee" RIP KOBE
This man showed the world that if u dedicate urself to ur craft success is then just a byproduct and passion is as simple as breathing. Sad thing he died but what a great life this man had.
1•26•2021 1 year since kobes passing RIP 💜💛

Mamba out but Mamba Mentality lives forever!!!
The impact you have left off basketball court is incredible. You are the best basketball player ever for me. Thank you for all the good memories.
Rest in Peace Kobe! 💔
Sending love and healing to Kobe's family and loved ones and every Kobe fan out there. Thank you for everything Kobe, you are a legend. You will live on through your words. We will miss you dearly. 💛💜
Thank God you lived, Kobe. Thank God you were here and that you honored your talent with the best of yourself. Now look at us, better, obsessive over our desires, relentless, because you did that first and proved to us the power of human will. Thank you for doing that work. Thank you, Kobe.
"You’ve to dance beautifully into the box that you’re comfortable dancing in" - Thanks for the advices champ
His way of talking is(was) very calm and I love that.
Wow.. goosebumps the whole time.
People born after 2005 don’t know how good he is
I was born in 2006 and I know how good he is
@js59695 People born in 1980 and before know he falls short to MJ as the greatest ;)
Stop, just stop comparing,we talkin about Kobe here, get tf outta here
You Kobe crash dummy sympathizers love to talk about the number 2 guy. His whole game is patterned after MJ's this dude himself will tell you he's not better than MJ. :-)
I was born in 2006, and he's my favorite player.
Never realized how amazing Kobe’s thought process and methods were till today. Grew up watching every Lakers game from as far as I can remember. The things, he did he made it all look so easy. This man was the thing I looked forward to watching on TV everyday. Whether it was just watching interviews, his beyond glory documentary, or his games. Felt like I knew he and was there with him. Man this loss hurts but I’m going to do everything I to follow his mentality. The mamba mentality. RIP Mamba and Gigi.
"You can't leave any stone on top." Rest in Peace, Kobe. You've enlightened and inspired so many people.
kobe is not just any other person, he's special, he's a legend and legends never die ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah bro I agreed 😁👏🏻👌🏻
This man had so much more than basketball to offer the world. It saddens me that he is no longer here with us. His mindset is really something to model.
I am a big LeBron James fan but Kobe Bryant mentality is on another level.
Never knew Kobe was such a real person, watching the past few videos has made me think properly. What a tragedy, RIP Legend..😢❤️
This guy recently inspired me to work towards being the greatest possible version of myself. I'll be damned if I won't honor Kobe's life and the inspiration he gave to me and so many others. RIP Kobe, you were one of the GOATS, not only in basketball.
16 seconds in and it's already everything I needed to hear "The confidence comes from preparation"
A human being is not perfect, but with practice, perseverance, you invest into the process not the goal, you will do what you can not imagine.
Thank you Kobe for leaving us so much love on and off the court. Thank you for being who you were. You were the best version we needed. I know you did everything you could to succeed. You left no stone unturned. You went that extra to touch the line. Rest in Peace.
Rest in peace Gigi and Kobe Bryant. From this day on i vow to have the Mamba Mentality. God Bless the Bryant family. We know your are watching over all of us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This man is the greatest shooting guard ever. I'm happy I got to see him play before he retired.
Hope You Having A Bless Day...All I Wanna Do Is Hit 1k!!
#1. MJ
#2. Kobe

What a gem Kobe was. Inspiring millions to be a better person for themselves. Wish I embodied his lessons more in his lifetime, but they’ll continue to teach for years to come. RIP Kobe the greatest

I'm not even a basketball fan but I love, LOVE this interview. What an amazing person. So inspiring!!
I’ve seen this and never worked 100 percent to what I love! Starting tomorrow, I will start to train as much as I can to be elite in basketball rather than my average state, and I will also learn to embrace and have the mamba mentality. I will do it for Kobe! Rest Easy
🙏
Watching this now...I still can not believe he is gone. Such a talented and well spoken man in all facets of life. Brings tears to my eyes even now...
still learning from Kobe after he passed. True Legend. Can we give props to the Interviewer too? he came prepared and extracted a lot of great Insight from Kobe.
When he says, one day when I’m sitting there 70 80 years old wondering... damn that hits hard. RIP Kobe
“Im sitting there 70-80 years old” - wished you could have accomplished that.... RIP Mamba! Unfortunately I never got to see you in person! May the Good Lord have all the victims of that day in his Glory! 🇲🇽 🇺🇸 we love from all nations around the world.
RIP Kobe, you’re an example in so many ways man. I almost cried when I heard about his death. Such a great player, on and off the court...
In the end, its not the years in your life that counts but the life you live in those years. Kobe exemplified that quote, gone to soon but left a legacy and a lasting impact.
I always taught Kobe was raw talent but listening to Kobe, how he sharpened his skills, and had amazing passion and discipline for his craft is just inspiring. He may be gone but he is in our hearts.
"Dance beautifully in the box you're comfortable dancing in."
That's fu**ing beautiful, Bryant. Now can anyone pass me the tissue, please?
I don’t have the time to watch this YET but 30 minutes of Kobe definitely caught my attention
never seen a person have better answers to questions than Kobe
Kobe was like a prophet...he understood his assignment. R.I.P king
A GREAT MAN AND A HERO, HE IS NOW AN ANGEL
WE'LL MISS YOU KOBE BRYANT❤
🙏💔😇
Yes 👍❤
He taught us the game of life in this video. As simple as that!
When Kobe said “I’m sitting there 70, 80 years old” man that just sucks Rest In Peace ❤️🙏🏾🏀
This is the man. I was a huge Kobe fan growing up. Love my lakers. I developed schizoaffective disorder at 17 and got locked up for a stabbing at 20. Been in a mental hospital for the last ten years. Wanted to be a novelist and musician in the depths of my illness before the incident. Still working on my version of o success in that today after a myriad of challenges, doubts, self hatred and pain. Never give up, and know God wastes no hurt.
He was more than a basketballs player He was AMAZING SOUL!!! 😔❤️💔 RIP , Kobe! U give so much to the World!!! ❤️
2020, being heartbroken💔 after his death brings me here....Wow, this guy was more than the game and he had an open mind !💪🔥
Can't believe that you're gone.
Rest in piece legend...
Right on time .💜🙏 God thank you . 🙏💜
