What a wonderful idea!! These spinners are so popular right now, with my own boys having several of their own!! Love the tutorial Hani, as always, thank you so much for sharing!! 😘😘
Thank you! Love the video. My niece asked me to make these for her boys, and I'm going to make some this weekend. Even though I'm new to making and decorating cookies, your video seems so easy to follow. I'm sure they will come out just great!
You should live here then. We have had hot weather, lot's of rain. Going to be in the 80's today. I am home from hospital. Almost died, but, I guess the Lord isn't ready for me yet. I'm ready. But, He isn't. Have a wonderful week end. Do hope you get warmer weather. I just love watching you make all those beautiful cakes, & cookies. God Bless You.
Fantastic idea Han!!! The lolly stick reminded me of Popeye cigarettes I wonder if that would also work making the cookie completely edible? Loved your tutorial!
I agree Marlyn! These are so cute and creative! They don't sell candy cigarettes in the US anymore. I wonder if a person could make their own with stiff royal icing?? or small segments of candy cane...that would be good in gingerbread!
Haniela's I used jolly ranchers hard candy put it in the microwave for a few seconds stretched it out and cut it to size once they cooled down they got hard again and worked great.
Thanks so much for this video tutorial Haniela. Have just finished making a couple for my nephews who are celebrating birthdays at the moment. Hope they love them 💚💚
Hi, Hani. Those cookies look simply adorable. You are one of the sweetist cookie making ladies on TH-cam. What do you love about shaping cookies? Have a good day, Hani. 🌹💖💖💖
I loved the cookies but I'm a little concerned about the lollipop stick , it's there a way that I can use something edible , any idea? I'm worry about some kid eat it by accident
You'll have to experiment with candy sticks that is the only thing that comes to mind. It might be difficult to cut them to size you need, but I guess it could be done. Good Luck
you did such a fantastic job with these cookies!!! 👏👏🙌🏆I'm sure my icing won't be half as neat😔 but i truly can't wait to make these with my children tonight!!!!!🙌👏🏆 thank you so much!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. The template you provided seems a bit large. Is that the size you used? Looking forward to trying out this recipe. I have never used royal icing before so good luck to me! :) If I can manage this my kids will be SO happy!
Haniela's yes, I'm thinking sticks made out of the cookie dough, baked of course, will work...we must try specially if kids are going to eat this amazing cookies. Thank you
Hello Haniela, I love youre video's and last week i made my first icing decorated cookies. But i got one question, how do you manage to make a pitch black icing? I've tried this last Christmas, and last week again, but i always ends up with a dark grey. I use wilton icing color gel, so that wouldn't be the problem. The last time i wanted to make black,i started with brouwn as a base, but when i put in the black it stil turned out grey. Please help me out so i can make a black icing with out using the whole bottle of icing color.
Hello Johan, I use Super Black by Americolor to make black icing. Into approximately 1 cup of white icing I add 1tbl cocoa powder, sifted. Then I add black food color, but only until icing reaches dark gray, then I cover it and let sit overnight or for 24hours. It gets darker as it sits. Hope it helps.
Yes, that is correct, melt it it over low heat until it melts, use low heat as once it starts to melt it will be very quick. Our friends' kids loved them so much.
Hi everyone, amazing cookies as always. I have aspergers and I always have to tap my fingers, fiddle with my necklace etc. Can someone let me know if a real fidget spinner could be of help to my anxious energy?
Amy Rivers Hi, two of my kids have Autism and my third kid have ADHD. The fidge spinner and the box was invented for special needs people to control their anxiety. My kids use them and help them a lot, I hope that help you too.

Fantastic idea Han!!! The lolly stick reminded me of Popeye cigarettes I wonder if that would also work making the cookie completely edible? Loved your tutorial!
Omg that would probably work, they are the really hard ones, right? . Maybe even pocky stick would work.
Y Morales you used the Jolly Ranchers in place of the cookie sticks?
@Debbi Fenton yes I used the jolly ranchers in place of lollipop sticks
Thanks so much for this video tutorial Haniela. Have just finished making a couple for my nephews who are celebrating birthdays at the moment. Hope they love them 💚💚

Haha, fidget spinners always remind me of my students :)
I loved the cookies but I'm a little concerned about the lollipop stick , it's there a way that I can use something edible , any idea? I'm worry about some kid eat it by accident

maybe a good n plenty candy?
how about pretzels it poky stix?
I have a question... how do you stop your caramel getting too brown but also keeping it soft enough?
I had to keep heating sugar at low temperature and then if I see it is getting brown too fast I remove it from the heat for a few moments.
you did such a fantastic job with these cookies!!! 👏👏🙌🏆I'm sure my icing won't be half as neat😔 but i truly can't wait to make these with my children tonight!!!!!🙌👏🏆 thank you so much!!!
Thank you. I hope they had fun with these.
Perfect Haniela's
What kind of icing do you use for the fidget spinner cookies?
Royal Icing.
this is amazing!! Perfect for my daughter's upcoming birthday. Is the template available?
Thanks Louissa, link to the template is in the description box, under the video.
Thank you for this tutorial. The template you provided seems a bit large. Is that the size you used? Looking forward to trying out this recipe. I have never used royal icing before so good luck to me! :) If I can manage this my kids will be SO happy!
Thank you. I guess you might need to resize it a bit, it is around 3 inches across.
SO cute!!!! Great idea!
Thank you.
my kids doesn't like ginger could i use something else that will still work to make these thank you
I would add cocoa powder instead.:-)
Can u use suger cookies??
I haven't tried it but I think you can.
Really cute! Great for boys birthday!
Thank you so much.
I wonder if pretzel sticks would work...
Can you use royal icying for the glue?
I have seen people use royal icing, I haven't tried it. Caramel works very fast and create a very strong bond.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻for making 99% edible. I'm wondering if that little stick can be replaced by another candy that works...
If you can find thin candy sticks you can use those, though it maybe hard to cut them to a small size.
Haniela's yes, I'm thinking sticks made out of the cookie dough, baked of course, will work...we must try specially if kids are going to eat this amazing cookies. Thank you

Not sure if the cookie will be strong enough but let me know how it goes. I will be making them soon again so I'll experiment with candies.
i love that you are so smart
Thank you.
These are much cooler than the others
Thank you Nathaniel. I tried. They were so fun.
Omg' Super Cute😍😍😍
hi there, i do love it! can you suggest me other dough instead of gingerbread dough ? thanks :)
I haven't tried it with other dough but I figure sugar cookie dough or shortbread dough should work.
i see, gonna try it soon. thanks for responding ! :*
Que bonitos 😊😊😊
Hello. Can you provide the caramel ingredients ? Is it just sugar?
It is only granulated sugar, nothing else. :-)
Haniela's just heat it correct?
Yes, that is correct, melt it it over low heat until it melts, use low heat as once it starts to melt it will be very quick. Our friends' kids loved them so much.
How did you make the caramel?
I melted sugar, like I show in the video.
