I am 57 and retired at 50. 1 thing I did do to retire early was to get out of the 401K and IRA programs. Bought rental real-estate and I am now a Limited Partner in about 3500+ units. I do not work.
I contribute 5% to get full company match, that's it, the 401k plan is designed for you to work until you are about to die, also the government does not have their hands on it yet either.
I learned about government actions from certified wealth manager in NY by Monica Mary Strigle. Ms. Strigle explained the benefits of long-term Treasuries and alternative investments, which the government doesn't disclose. Lately they been investing in solid start ups, bonds, digital currencies, precious metals with real backing, while manipulating the stock market decisions as influenced by congress, driven by year round events and consumer sentiment in the past half decade.
I agree the market is manipulated that’s why I never contribute above 5% I try to enjoy the ride while I invest.

Investors have just turned back the clock on the Fed’s tightening campaign and cast aside the Fed fears that ruled them for 15 months. It just gets very daunting to me when I’m sitting there looking at charts and trying to determine if i’m right or wrong! I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $300K for sometime now, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
First of all, You could lose it all and you could win it all. It goes both ways. Secondly, what works for A may not necessarily work for B and you should not be a bandwagon investor. A good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge.
It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been making more than $25k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don’t have to do much work. It doesn’t matter if the economy is crashing, great CFA will always make good returns.

I hold a core (about 30 percent), momentum trade over the 4 year cycle about 30%, and swing trade maybe 30 or more percent against the weekly/monthly volatility as my schedule permits. It works very well for me.

@@Hmmm313ETH is absolutely nowhere near Bitcoin. It’s entirely too centralized, there was a massive amount pre allocation. Not to mention the costs of transactions. Etherium was revolutionary, but it’s nowhere near Bitcoin.

Economic energy is derived from the production of real wealth. Money just represents it.
Politicians have been abusing the monetary measurement tool long enough.
Money doesn't need to exist anymore. I should have a debit card that allows me to buy something using corn and then the person on the other side chooses what commodity or equity they want and then the computers make the trades. This makes more sense to me than having computers solve a bunch of pointless math problems and waste electricity. The only thing useful bitcoin makes is heat if you snuggle up to your computer.
Its going to be interesting when we look back at this and laugh at how foolish bitcoin actually was.
