If somone makes a movie about you and John Wayne plays your part, then that is impressive.

LOL pretty much. Fess Parker is the actor most associated with playing Davy Crockett though. Others who have played him were Buddy Epson, Jeff York, Kenneth Tobey, and Leonard Maltin.

@@Kytnliving fess played him and Daniel Boone with the same hat, confusing a lot of kids who watched the wonderful world of Disney.

@@Sam2sham LOL I would say that it did. They were two very different men.

Thank you. We are very happy that Christina Mosely gave us permission to record her on video. Most tour guides refuse to do that.

I used to travel all around to see places like this. I need to do a little more. I've been coast to coast and border (used to be border) to border. Places like this are priceless. Fortunately my parents instilled a love of history in me when I was a pup. From Boonesborough to Lincoln County, New Mexico (Billy the Kid). I still have a love of history to this day.

@@kevinramsey3490 Oh there are a whole lot of historical places in Kentucky and Tennessee. Unfortunately, Kentucky does not promote them very much. But they are certainly there. There is more to Kentucky than Frankfort, Lexington, and Louisville.

    It was in Rogersville, Tennessee

From our understanding, this tavern was never moved from its site at Morristown, TN. Rogersville is not that far away though. Davey Crockett's last known cabin is in Rutherford, TN.

@@Kytnliving l am from Texas, and it's come to my understanding that he preferred his given( Christian) name. David Crockett- and l will never believe he surrendered! PERIOD...

@@carywest9256 I think you are right on both points. But I can also say this, I am married to a David and he gets called Davey all of the time or Big Dave. I think Davey has just stuck over time since he was walking the earth. He was also in the US Congress before he went to Texas. I'm sure by then he was known as Congressman or Congressman Crockett, or Mr. Crockett.

@@carywest9256 Also on the surrender part, I don't think he did either. They are really not sure if he survived the Alamo only to be captured and killed afterward or where his bones are now. It is just a horrible end to one of America's heroes.

It actually sits just off of the Andrew Jackson HWY in Morristown, TN.

His mother is buried in Rutherford. Her name was Rebecca Hawkins Crockett. I think his father is buried in Rogersville if I am not mistaken.
