Rough Ryder uses 440a in most of their knives ( 440b ,Vg10 ,T10, D2 all in the line up ) 440c is a stainless steel not carbon steel . Boker also uses 440a. Aus8 , 8cr , 14c28n should all be in this group 14c28n and aus8/8cr matter of fact has a half a point more edge retention than 420HC . 420HC 2.5 , 14c28n , aus8/8cr a 3 , 440a a 3.5 ,7cr17mov (improved 440a ) 4. IDK what you were trying to do here but it missed the mark.
I was showing my knife steel collection: which you should realize having watched as much as you apparently did; also i clearly stated that they were not in specific order and the next tier is low to mid range steels covering all the ones you listed at the end; please feel free to check out that video as well since it has posted!!
I like budget steels. They are generally easy to maintain. Great video Pat 👍
Indeed, very easy! Thanks Jeremy!
I sure hope the dollica makes it in the super steel category
You know it!!!! It will be right next to the terravantium…(which is also not really steel but something incomprehensible!!
