There aren't many people around (but there are a few). Not everyone was wearing a leash. Leashes should really be considered in an effort to keep others safe.
Please post some shots of them taking off so we can see their pop-up technique. Just starting out, thing i noticed if foilers can get going on the smallest of waves, still trying to figure this out, learning curve is steep.
Check out the foil park sessions video. It's the video before this. There's a clean shot of a pop up in the beginning. It's one of those things you kinda have to feel though. Foiling is a game of millimeters/centimeters so you won't really see the micro adjustments. Main thing is front foot pressure to keep you from shooting out (like an airplane taking off) then once you feel stable, you can start shifting back to get lift.
