In Japan, this song is known as the Tokaido Shinkansen platform doors sound when opening or closing at some stations (especially major stations like Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka) It is also known as the Taiwanese garbage truck sound, to let you know when it's time to take out the trash
Fun fact: Despite the author being Polish, she's not actually well known in Poland. Meanwhile, in Japan, this piece is everywhere. Also, when she released this piece, it was ridiculed and deemed to easy for standards back then..
Wow… I’m a middle intermediate student and I’ll be honest with you this looks like a fair challenge for me. I can’t even do runs yet so while it sounds simple this looks like a great little study for improving a lot of technical skills a little bit (for an intermediate.)
@@lolsup9817 if you skim through the piece you'll realise that most of it is very similar and it kinda repeats, just get used to the start and the rest will be easy 💛💛 goodluck
Oh, wow! First time hearing this lovely melody. It’s almost as if the composer created it for your hands to play, as you played it flawlessly and beautifully! Added to my FP Playlist. Have a wonderful week, Friend!🤗
Im actually learning this piece right now, me and my mom watched this korean drama on netflix with this piece and we both are learning it right now, I know who composed this piece, tekla badarzewska-baranowska passed away at such a young age, she was definitely a talented composer, thank you for sharing!! 🥰 사랑
I heard this once but I never figured out the name of this beautiful piece. Thank you so much, your playing is fabulous! Edit: I'm going to try to learn this asap
Novelist Vicki Baum wrote in her autobiography that this song came out from nearly every living room window in Vienna, c. 1900. It was the most popular piece for piano practice…
This used to be a favorite of mine when I was younger. I still have it in my hands and know how to play (despite I don’t play piano anymore). I don’t remember if I asked for this piece here but anyways, thank you for posting this on your channel.
Ottima l'esecuzione!
wow i was going through the vampire diaries song from season 2 ep 1 found your comment , couldnt find that video also the improved notes . good to see you are still active .
Are you self-taught or did you at some point have a piano teacher? RIght now im learning piano and im considering getting a piano teacher but they're pretty expensive... Great playing btw! 👍
This beautiful piece reminds me my romance many years ago. I requested my young piano teacher played it on phone because I had a bad mood. He did a several times. Of course he likes me much but I was too young and escaped.
I mean, the piece has its technical difficulties, but from a harmonical and structural point of view, this is not only pathetic, but one of the most boring pieces I have ever heard. It is just a repetitive restatement of an extremely simple theme with small and simple variations. It certainly has its beauty, but as soon as you realise this is 4 and a half minutes of literally the same melody, it becomes extremely dull, imagine back when Chopin and Liszt were alive
Y’all need to shut the hell up and just enjoy the simpleness of it, some people enjoy the sound of that, but what I’m hearing from you is that your brain is to stupid to understand the simple melodies, so if you don’t like it you don’t have to listen to it👋

@@changan2942 I can see that. I guess my concern isn’t playing the notes but being able to play it cleanly and musically
@@Henri.d.OlivoirPathetic? Boring I understand, but pathetic? Let’s see you compose something that *doesn’t* pale in comparison to Chopin.

If you watch the 2007 movie, Rails & Ties, staring Kevin Bacon, you'll see this piece performed.

Yeah, Liszt especially. But it has a damn good melody for it to be so well-known, one you can just hear again and again!
