Good morning all, what are your thoughts on this new addition to the lego trains lineup?
Can see this being popular with city builders, people need to figure out how and where to add power functions
I was chatting to the Lego train folks on Reddit, and they seemed to be under the impression that it would be quite easy to modify one of the carriages to house a motor.
The best idea seems to be to use a powered up train motor as a Jacobs bogie between the front and middle car as well as an unpowered bogie between the middle and back car for symmetry. The interior of the front car can be removed to house the Hub. Cabling might be tricky. We'll have to wait and see. Just a couple weeks now.

It would, kind of cool to see them running side by side, like a mainline branch line kind of dealeio.
i will buy it, i think the tram looks ok, but i think the tracks and station would make and excellent addition to my layout
See I’m the opposite, I like the tram but dislike the station aspect of it 😅
This set was scheduled to come out in june, but they changed it sadly.
Oh really didn’t know that, perhaps they moved it so it was competing with other sets?

Would've been nice had they used the smaller train wheels and maybe made the front a bit more flat. But still cool to see nonetheless!
Shouldn't take to much modding to get a flat front. I agree with the wheels, they are more like normal train wheels not the smaller wheels that have been in other tram sets.
