Join us for a livestream of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art’s "Evening Talk: Liz Cheney" program Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m.
This conversation is hosted in honor of Crystal Bridges’ free exhibition “We the People: The Radical Notion of Democracy” exploring the importance of the U.S. Constitution and free speech to democracy.
Congresswoman Cheney will be joined onstage by Executive Director of the Walton Family Foundation Caryl M. Stern. Drawing from their careers, expertise and experiences, the conversation will explore how the principles behind the U.S. Constitution and other foundational documents shape lives and responsibilities.

the top leaders set the tone, when you see this type of chaos in a country you know where it is coming from. #LizCheney for President. common solutions are required, but behavior form both extremes is getting in the way - cancel, abuse, troll, hate.. amazing how a country can fall so low

Two parties debating is great. Good ideas not only emerge from such debate but debate gets rid of the dross and the original idea tends to become clearer and stronger. If we can all stipulate to that basic theory of debate, then we can start to see what’s causing such a rift in the country. Personally, I think it’s the language of debate now is filled with lies, hyperbole, ambiguity and so forth. No single view of societal structure or systems should come to the fore. In short, men and women who understand that nothing can be perfect but we only strive for perfection and in that striving a nation grows. Currently, the nation is in a moral depression and the search for an honest government faces impediment from the lies, the lap dog following of a liar and cheat and a buffoon who makes others nations laugh and turn away. More voices like this and the seeking of compromise and sensible govern are required.
