Another thing I forgot - when you visit some bars, restaurants or clubs, they will give you the code for their WiFi when you purchase drinks or food.

    I’m really enjoying your videos and learning about The Gambia. Could you do a video about how religion plays into the culture? For example, do women have to dress a certain way?

    • @zandelalifeBizGambia
      @zandelalifeBizGambia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn’t want to touch on religion or culture in the same way I don’t touch on politics, I don’t know enough about it to be honest. I would say that Gambia is a very spiritual place rather than religious. They love people and animals. They say that they are taught to love the man you see before you love God that you Have never seen. Women dress any how they want in gambia. One of the things I was honestly surprised to see. In the villages women have head covered, long clothing but walking right next to them is a women in a business suit going to work and another in a short dress and vest with a bowl on her head. They do not seem to watch anyone other than there selves. The only time I’ve ever been asked to cover my head was when I went to visit the Imam the day before my wedding.

      Religion plays a big part in The Gambia is more than 95% Muslim. And tribe too . Some of them are open minded and some very backwards mentality. And my Christian Gambian pals are viewed and treated like second class citizen that is what they’ve told me . 🤜🏾

    I saw another youtuber going to the beach and there was a ,lot of trash around, with huge houses with gates and barbed wire. She stated they only cared about their compound not what's outside of it. Are there garbage trucks, are people only caring about themselves and their own family?
    My sister and I are looking into coming for a visit and possibly moving, but I would like a clean place and a place where we uplift one another. From the USA

    • @zandelalifeBizGambia
      @zandelalifeBizGambia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure how long ago that was but all the beaches are extremely clean. Currently during lockdown the beaches are not allowed (public gathering) so there is no one cleaning the beaches at the moment hence all the sea weed in my video. I have another video showing some beaches you’ll see they are all clean but due to Covid currently not maintained.

      MommaNet Hey Sis, ok so my youngest where 4 & 6 when I travelled with them. So I suggest with the bigger ones any toys you get leave them in the packets (if they are like small little toys) all part of the time wasting and distraction. I brought them like little metal pencil cases and they could put a snack in as well as pens and little toys. Really good it meant there toys and pens didn’t roll off the little table things on the plane. Make sure you have a separate stash of candy, lollies and any little toys (save the best for last) Try to give them an hour on the device and then distract them with a colouring book or games for 30min and then back on the iPad (best thing ever). The baby I’m not sure of what you can do to distract as the little ones are tricky in such small spaces, down load every single baby show to your phone and device. Make sure you got a few charger banks charged up for everything. I’m praying for you sis the struggle is real but defiantly worth it.
