Even for the younger kids, WM 40 confirmed how overused The Superkick is. From captivating our eyes to just cringing at the sight of it.
God...I remember when Shawn Michaels doing a Superkick was the most devastating Finisher ever. It used to be used by only certain wrestlers, like Shawn Michaels but more importantly Chris Adams performed it perfectly. Now the Superkick is used by everybody.

There are thousands of variations of super kicks with adding taekwondo, karate, Maui tai, soccer, rugby, gymnastics and other elements. Jey needs a rugby version and jimmy needs a 540-tornado version for unique versions that includes both of their traits Pacific islander highflyers that fits best with each twin. Thier is no reason for a modern wrestler to do a basic super kick its Shawn Michaels and his is always better than the new ones. A modern Wrestler with a basic super kick will always fail when every match will be compared to Shawn Micheals vs Shelton Benjermin and Shawn Micheals vs the undertaker for better or worse if its fair or not.

I don't know about Dom tho. His finisher combo reflects his status as Rey and supposedly Eddie's kid. Doing Rey's 619 to set up and doing Eddie's Frog Splash to finish. From a thematic/character perspective, I think it really works for him
I want dom to start using the lasso from El paso (Eddie's submission move) as it feels like a good way for dom to evolve and also judgement day doesn't have submission specialists.

For Dom I agree but have him start using the Hidden Blade and call it the shank. I would also add a submission like the Tequila Sunrise which use to be used by Konnan.

Jey could use that one jumping super kick as a finisher. The regular super kick is just watered down and not as special as it once was when Shawn used it.

As basic as it kinda is, Dominik does a pretty clean Michinoku driver. Add some sort of signature taunt and call it the Dirty Driver and I think he's got something.

Xavier Woods needs to stop using the "Backwoods" finisher. It's just a schoolboy pin and it's one of the dumbest ideas to name a weak finisher.
1) Didn't Braun use a Powerbomb? The Monster Bomb I think he called it. I recall him Powerbombing Otis
2) Logan Paul's "Takedown" I think it's a one-off and he only used it against Miz. If you look at it, it seems like a Reverse Skull Crushing Finale. Remember when Paul teamed and feuded with Miz, he used the SCF as his finisher. My bet is he probably wanted to go for that, got botched and went f*ck it let's just "reverse" the move. Or it could be that he "reversed" it on purpose as a kryptonite to Miz's SCF (Flash vs "Reverse" Flash). Then again, this is just my take.
3) Jey could probably use the Rikishi Driver
4) I think that LA should just maintain the BFT. I like the fact that it can technically be done "outta nowhere".
I think that the Monster Bomb was more of a signature. I don't know if he won with it. If he has, I think it was only temporary.

Honestly I do prefer the Avalanche Manhandle Slam then the standing version. It just looks better from the ropes. Also she definitely needs to bring back the disarmher

I honestly really like Braun using the running powerslam, its like he's so scary powerful that he can beat anybody with an extremely basic slam.

Anybody remember when The Usos first turned heel in 2016 and Jey Uso I believed won matches with a submission that was kinda like a single leg boston crab? He needs to bring that back instead of doing the Spear.
Jey Uso uses spear, superkick, and splash. He should really use a new finisher and the perfect move for him is The Deadly Boomerang Kick.
But he needs to perform that perfectly or it won't work.

I agree with every criticism in the video save LA Knight's. The BFT is as good as a DDT or even a Stunner, and it sorta is both of those in one move. But yes to everything else, especially Dom needing to go his own way even more by moving on from his father's moveset. Karrion I see the point of the pumphandle making the move inefficient, as it only serves to get the opponent over the should and there are better, faster, more energy efficient means to get there, but I am just thrilled he is doing something other than the Kross Jacket (one more boring rear naked choke in wrestling) or the Kross Hammer which just looks low effort and lame. So I'll take the Final Prayer, inefficiency and all, over those. Braun Strowman is big enough that he should go for something like a chokeslam or even last ride powerbomb. I'd love to see him adopt a massive chokeslam as a signature leading into a huge sit-out last ride powerbomb as a finisher. Last, I am surprised there was no mention of the lame ass Samoan Spike used by Solo Sikoa, instead of the much more interesting Spinning Solo he was using. WWE took Solo, a Samoan wrestler, in an industry with seemingly endless numbers of Samoan guys in wrestling, who had at least a bit of uniqueness in his move-set with the Spinning Solo, only to just carbon copy Umaga's old finish. I always feel like strike finishers are low effort, and instead of seeing devastation, I am just seeing the act fall apart in favor of the back office and the performer considering the logistics of a move they can do to anyone, and one that won't affect their career longevity. I understand these concerns but not when it sacrifices the showmanship for it. When your business concerns pretty much increasingly arrive at: The best way to continue as a pro-wrestler is to do less pro-wrestling, that is missing the forest for the trees imo.

I had never seen the Logan Paul takedown thing until this list. It's literally a terrible execution of an attempted inverted Skull Crushing Finale.
That's not even his finisher, it was suppose to be a skull crushing finale since he was facing Miz, even the announcers called it, but I think there was some confusion involved..

Braun Strowman just needs a new finisher. That's the ONLY thing about him that's missing in his character. He'll be a serious threat again if he deals with that.
Across the board, everyone using the goddamn "default finisher" spear, needs to come up with a new one. Roman, Jey, Bron Breakker and Lashley are all using it, and I think on the women's side, Charlotte does it too. That is too damn many, in WWE2k24 you do an 8 man match, and pick default opponents, you will end up with Roman, Jey, and Bobby in the match and it really highlights how too many WWE guys are using that as their go to. Its so uncreative at this point.
Jey Uso has started modifying his finish as the 3x superkick punch combo to frong splash.
Logan Pauls move is pretty clever for story telling purposes. I busts em with the knucks but then hits them with a legit takedown. From the ref pov it looks like a person lost to a takedown.
Unlike when regal used power of the punch and refs pov was *person standing, get destracted, person on the ground, nothing sus here*
Probably unpopular, but i really don't like the coup de grace. Doesn't have the same impact as like a splash or moonsault and there's nothing extra the person taking the move can do to really sell it.
Braun Strowman's powerslam in the Elimination Chamber 2018 was the worst especially against John Cena.
Good thing Braun uses the Monster Bomb now.

i personally don't like man handle slam because I feel becky is quite petite and the moves requires the user to be off a certain physical stature. would look better if it was done by rhea or bianca

I think that brauns isn't that bad because he is still landing on his opponent and so the monster among men's weight is fully put on them but a powebomb would 100% be better

Cody has the worst finisher and it's not mentioned. He just barrel rolls but the opponent lands on Rhodes' armpit. If you think about it that should hurt him more, ever get hit in the armpit? The whole arm tingles and whatnot. The cutter is a much better finisher
Braun Strowman's running powerslam finisher looks absolutely devastating to me, but at second thought I see why it doesn't look as effective.
1) Manhandle Slam. I've always hated this move as no one knows how to do it. The move used to have a Pumphandle set up and that's kinda fizzled out but she still seems indecisive on whether she wants that set up or not.
2) The Khallas. The problem with that move is that keeping the Cobra Clutch throughout kinda makes it weaker. Maybe more like the One & Only might be better.
3) Running Powerslam. I do like the Running Powerslam and I do like it as Braun's finisher. I just wish he did a bit more with it. Like catch the opponent on the rebound, deadlift the opponent or run a little bit more.
4) Rose Plant. My main problem with this move like the Manhandle Slam is the arm hook. It just restricts the move. But overall, I'd still say it's not great.
5) Takedown. I wouldn't have put this here as I think he did it once as a two part move and that was just to spite Miz. But the punch needs to go. He can do a lot better.
6) Uso Splash. I wouldn't class the Superkick as I don't think he's won with it. Jey needs to expand his moveset and he does need something to make him stand out from his brother. He can keep the Splash as a secondary finisher but he needs more.
7) BFT. I like the move but it is very sell dependent and harder to pull off than the RKO because both people are falling the same way. I wouldn't say remove it but something else might be better.
8) 619 & Frog Splash. I think he should keep these as signatures. It makes sense for Dom to use it. I think he should keep it as a sequence like do the 619 then frog Splash, roll out of the Splash then do some sort of running move. Or jump down from the top rope to hit a running finish. But he definitely needs a different move to him. Maybe use the Lasso from El Passo or something. Make a Dom Bomb with the Gory Bomb or Batista Bomb. Just something.
9) The Final Prayer. I like this move just remove the Pumphandle set up. Thats the only thing holding this move down. Use like the End of Days. Just do a regular shoulder lift. That's all it needs.
There's a few other moves that could be improved but for a lot of them, I think that they need tweaking rather than overhauling.
Batista Bomb is the best finisher move.
I think jey uso should adopt the zig zag as his finisher

@@kazallrobertsI think that he needs to keep the rolling Stunner but separate how he does it. If he's already in the ring then he should just do it in the ring like in the games or as he would in a steel cage.
And for outside of the ring into it, keep it but use it as a sequence. He has a move when people are outside of the ring and he slides out before clotheslining them. That should be the set up before throwing them back in and hitting that version of the Stunner.

For Bayley, even her Bayley to Belly is not a credible finisher, and the only time it looked credible was when she won the nxt women's championship from Sasha, but the sequence of the moves leading to that also helps to believe that it would do the job for the three counts.
I think its fine that Dom uses the 619 & Splash. If he didn't, we'd probably all be wondering why he doesn't use it that often.

I don't mind Strowman using the Powerslam and he had a second finisher which was the Reverse Chokeslam and I wish he kept that although before his injury he did introduce a Powerbomb which was hella cool. And I like the Uso Splash. The height you can get on that is incredible better than the Superkick they use
There's NOTHING wrong with The Usos finishers, besides that the superkick is overused, but that isn't just a Usos problem, and there's also nothing wrong with Dom still using the 619 & the Frog Splash, as it makes complete sense, and gets him a lot of extra heat as well.
What about Cody? Cross Rhodes is too week for a main eventer, he has to perform it 3 times in a row to make it a bit more credible finisher, but it's still weak.
LA Knight and EC3 basically have the same finisher, and even Ambrose used a variation of the BFT early in his WWE career.
