Dave implies she suffered domestic abuse when he said "I said "fell" with commas inverted".
Her hubby was deported from uk when Dave was tiny and she brought up 3 sons on her own, working hard as a nurse. They were homeless for a while.
She almost committed suicide when Chris, Dave's favorite older brother was going through court case for murder at the age of 16. Dave was 11. It was a very public and very gruesome murder. Chris's school had a beef with another school, they had a little fight one day, and due to peer pressure the Chris's group armed themselves the next day, believing another fight is pending. Both school groups met on the busy train station after school during the day, but when opposing school group saw knives they took off, whilst Chris and the rest of their group of about 20 chased them, catching up with Sofyan on the station and stabbing him 9 times in front of cameras, RIP. Although not everyone of 20 actually did the stabbing, and Dave believes his brother didn't, police used a Joint Enterprise law to sentence nearly all of them, even if they weren't actually present there. Chris was sentenced to 18 yrs minimum, and this almost destroyed Dave and their mum, and killed his grandma.
Mum then locked Dave indoors, literally, bought him a piano, and Dave's channeled his anger into music and later, rap. Then his oldest bro went to jail as well for fraud. He's out, but Chris still got a few years to go.
Due to all of this Dave had to grow up very early. By the time of his Blackbox at 16, his mind was probably 30.
IRL Dave has a group of close friends who were there from the start and they appear in most of his videos and are often mentioned in his songs, namely RJ, Juss and Rapz. He is also close friends with Stormzy and Fredo, also 2 UK hip hop giants. He loves animals and has 3 dogs. He keeps his girlfriends super private.
This is deep!! We had a feeling it was his mom that was in the audio but wasn’t sure but thanks for clarifying, no wonder why his songs are so deep you just covered a little synopsis of his life story I’m sure there’s more to uncover
Lesley by Dave is crazy good.. dude is unbelievable..best rapper ..actually best 'Artist' right now hands down in my opinion.. don't sleep on Dave.

Dave is truly a story teller and his raps isn't just raps every line he says has meaning and makes you think and I'm not even from the UK but what I found out in this song was a line where he said men speak on my name and that's porky pie and I found out what porky pie means that it's a slang word referring to someone that is lying on your name or just lying in general and I'm going to use that now on a daily cause people don't really know that term where I am from lol but anyways guys I loved your reaction please react to
