I see a lot of people being hard on this guy in the comments. Have the book know how but lack common sense. He’s wiping it right off and not spraying anywhere near enough to get on the brakes. IF and only if you wash your tire immediately after, it’s not a bad hack at all. Should’ve saw the other guy saying use acetone 💩 Now I could see if he was saying use WD-40 as a tire shine. Now that’s a rodeo!
Hey Lili Yuan, can you please tell me - if WD 40 and such products aren't safe for rubber then what can we use to polish the tyre ? Is coconut oil specifically safe ?
@@whoistheidealtobelowertoid4585 if you ever checked the ingredients of wd40 or have some basic chemistry knowledge. You should know that the solvent can cause the tire harden and age. Have you ever heard silicon based compound or the polydimethylsiloxane? I just checked with my girlfriend she said that she know what coconuts oil is.
And that ladies and gentlemen is what we call a mall crawler. Worries about the letters on his rig instead of what upgrade can I do to make my rig handle the trail better. Why do we call it a mall crawler instead of a rock crawler you might ask.......because the only crawling that thing is going to do is through the mall parking lot.
Who says you can’t go off roading and then detail your car afterwards? Can have fun and appreciate it at the same time You deserve a mud pig, hope your car treats you like you treat it 🤷♂️
You're pushing all that filth onto the black part of your tire. Hope you don't wear light colored clothing. You could just clean them with soap and water and then you won't be damaging the rubber either. Plus some dumbass will get some WD40 on his rotors and come here to blame your for their accident.
Feeling kind of cute, might do this on my sport bike.

Try a flat rock , rub the letters with the rock.. WD kills rubber
Do you smell what The Rock is cookin'?
Thats going to dry rot the tires because WD-40 is oil based lubricant
It's not a lubricant lmao
Wouldn't that add oils to the tire?
Dude, dude... you would have to soak that tire in wd40 for a year for it to eat away at the rubber 🙄
Never let my tires in contact with any oil or grease or wd40. Not just I want my tires last longer but also my life and my passenger last longer.
Wd40 is not oil. It's actually the opposite and it's only the tire wall.

So you can't clean up your rig or you get called a sissy?
Nice.

Better. With. Metal brush. Easy. Fast. Even better
Does exactly what is says on the tin
Good luck with your stopping distance if the WD-40 gets to the ground contact points
That's the least of his worries doing this.
Just use starting fluid
What sort of fluid ?
