Old thundernoisy first generation turbofan engine design. It was first run in 1958 and was first flown in 1959. Pratt and Whitney TF33-PW-100A turbofan, 21,500 lbf (93 kN) each.
So, I take it your spotting trip went well? ;) Seriously, absolutely incredible footage, that close up turnaround and all that smoke... Wow! Just incredible.
dude8472productions Haha, yes! I suppose it did ;) It was just incredible to witness such a old and powerful plane! The spool-up was just unbelievable :o Thank you so much!
That was such an awesome experience! The 707 virtually disappeared in it's own exhaust smoke..! Definitely not very friendly to the environment ;) Thank you!
Not sure what the logic is to Keep B707 even for military purposes. In this day and age greenhouse emissions with dreamliners they should all be retired.
Wow, what an amazing aircraft to see! Love that smoking climb out. Great video!
TF-33 don’t run on JP-8…they burn coal!
What a beautiful video!
That's the 707's trademark - loud, smoky takeoffs.
Absolutely amazing video! Awesome spotting point! A huge like!
Smoky-sweet!
Haha ;) Thanks for watching!

There seems to be no reversers on the JT3 unlike civilian 707s
Fucking awesome video man!
Wow I had no idea Nato themselves had such a fleet of E3. Are any of them fitted with updated engines?
All of them have a Pratt Whitney's TF33-PW-100A. This engines are so old. :)
