A parents job is to provide a better life for their kidsand bring them up to be healthily and well balanced and raise them in stable safe household or keep them together as a family if they move around a lot. Many sons and daughters are simply not wanted by their parents because their parents can't change or had toxic parents themselves. Generational problems and systemic dysfunction is rooted deep problems of that family, parents end up making the same mistakes as their parents, unless they do the hard painful work of getting better and acknowledging the harm they suffered and then inflicted on their offspring.

Specifically the part about never chasing women. There are times and places where if a guy doesn't pursue then nothing happens. Interest breeds interest. If a guy shows interest in a girl then she may in turn show interest in the guy. That's what is called leading in a relationship. The best man for most women is one that can be dominant and loving at the same time. It has much more to do with character than it does type and we have been seeing a huge increase in the lack of morals and character in North America.
