Forgive me for the saltiness in this video lol. I spent 8 hours straight trying to beat the game on a really unfair version of the game. Since I recorded this video the developer made the game WAY easier on normal mode. BUT WE DID IT ON IMPOSSIBLE MODE BABY.

I think it makes sense that you don't have to meet quota in the last hour. The Shade is the one who cares about reports, but if you make it to the last hour and survive the night it's Adam who takes interest in you, it doesn't matter if you get fired or not at that point. It's a bit jarring that it doesn't say anything about it though, it would maybe be better to get the fired message and/or to have Adam refer to it when he mentions getting rid of the Shade.
The way it's designed, it's either a bug, a failsafe in case you're at 9 and are currently submitting a report, or, it's intentional to make the player sweat a bit which isn't entirely unfair since cyberrat did it with it's last hack too lol.
Its a bug, i got to 8/10 on final hout and game overed😊
Adam said in the chat that it was a bugged win. He was supposed to lose to insufficient reports.

That game was quite hard... (I mean WTTG2) I barely found a key.
Unfortunately Adam has said on his twitter that Johns Chapter will be the last mechanically complex horror game he's working on, he actually prefers the ease of access that this game provided
As someone who gets frightened very easily, i cant play horror games. Can watch insym all day though!! Cant wait to see how crazy this ending is!
That makes a horror game unique bro. I don't get scared easily so I always let my friends play, and I watch them, because they are funnier than me 😂😂 It's a blessing and a curse tho, cuz they get more action than me🤷♂️
I get scared too buddy but you can train yourself to not get scared fnaf game jumpscares don't even scare me anymore but that's just one.
i am also easily frightened, so i just play multiplayer horror games only. And even if i play single player horror games they're probably from roblox and aren't that scary.

Tacos Hallway entrance/chase sound is fucking terrifying, even when I'm 100% expecting it. It's like it can set my anxiety dial straight to max.
Same. The first time he shows up in this video made me so upset because the sound makes me just assume that it's time to die, and I thought Insym messed up by waiting for him to spawn lol.
Not going to lie - For nightmare, I think that observation you had with the elevator would make for a great way in introducing a *rarer* event where when you call the elevator, and notice it taking as long as if when you’re inside, that you know someone is on the elevator, (maybe DelTaco lmao, or Lucas?) and maybe even when the elevator hits 6, 7, 10, etc, you can hear the whistling get louder the closer he gets to your floor, and you have to run back to your room in order to confuse him, or something.
Another thing I’m expecting to see for nightmare, is Lucas also using your bedroom window occasionally, so that you *have* to use the bathroom tub hiding spot. *(And the only obvious way to countering it, would be to get close to the bedroom door, and shut the door, so Lucas can’t get a view when you cross the doorway, on your way into the bathroom.)*
There’s honestly a lot they could do to throw off the player, and it honestly makes me hyped to see how Nightmare Mode ends up being.
I should have waited until the last cutscene before mentioning the ideas I mentioned above Lmao.
I’m wondering if Ronald is still going to be in his apartment for the last difficulty.
I also wonder if it’s even possible to hit 10/10 quota for this final night, and if there are different endings for each difficulty.
But the one thing remains the same, I am seriously pumped for Nightmare Mode!
@@ghoulishtheories7979 id imagine youre getting your hopes too high. its most likely just gonna be scrutinized or wttg2 where the threats are more active and you have less time to react.
I just hope Adam doesn't add random lights off (like in Scrutinized) with instant Noir spawn (like in WTTG2 on 1337 difficulty) to force you check your apartments even more frequently and waste more time
I think it would be pretty interesting if there were a few apartments that had special interactions when delivering to them. It would add another mechanic on top of everything else, though, so the others would probably need to be toned down a bit to compensate.

@@RoundShadesYeah Foddy doesn't actively hack streamers games that critizise arguably very poor design decisions in his game tho. Foddy doesn't prioritize ruining speed run strats over fixing bugs that ruin the playing experience.
Not to mention that in Foddys games the player is always in charge of everything in Adams games you can get bad RNG and can essentially not win

Insym should probably look out for the fact that Adam messes with anyone that criticizes him or his games. He trolled a streamer for two hours straight in WTTG 2 because he said some negative things about Adam. Adam's games are good, but he himself is so petty, it's insane.
maybe, but at the same time, i dont think he has ever done this to insym without making another comment after saying he was just teasing or something. at least so far it hasnt drug on and its been fun to watch regardless. plus insym is giving proper feedback even if there is some salt mixed it its warranted like he said since the game doesnt explain almost anything to you, small hints at best, and it is a lot of playtime and focus and brainpower to be able to figure all that stuff out. like he said he was on for 5+ hours for each of these videos and he only did 2 long runs at best. he doesnt have necessary time to test out all of that, especially when things like deltaco not being activated is probably you can do something only once per game at the beginning.
i understand that this game is made to be hard but i think the emphasis was put on that so much that the game part got lost . if insym wasn't there to comment and react to what was happening i would've gotten EXTREMELY bored . but the game also feels half finished? and i am not talking about nightmare mode . i know that will be in the game soon but the game itself feels more like a side project so putting it behind a 10$ paywall for it to still have game breaking bugs and poorly designed replay-ability is just kinda rude in my opinion
It's a _decent_ 10$ side project that hopefully helps fund WTTG3.
I'd say $10 is an okay price- I think I missed one or two streams, and the couple of bad bugs I did see were of course terrible, but it seems like things are getting fixed? So that's good, and for what seems like a precurser to WTTG3, it's pretty good.
My only complaint is that Adam's gotta chill out with the "make it hard" part, like you say. It'd be so much easier to enjoy the game off the bat if it weren't so punishing that only cheese strategies are reliable. But apparently the updates have made it a lot easier than it is here, so maybe I'll consider grabbing it sometime. ^^ Especially since it seems a lot easier to spot anomalies than other Observation Duty types - my ADHD self will never notice those "oop this mundane object moved two inches and rotated a little" anomalies.
(Edit: a really good change would be to make Noir spawn in the apartment only when it's dark, like when you've come out of hiding. Like other commenters say, having to fully stand up every five seconds to check for Noir isn't cool or difficult, just tedious and annoying.)
@ammieway6136 i don't think people realise that in this and all of the insym's playtroughs, he has help from chat . It's not just one person. it's one person at the buttons and about max 4k other pairs of eyes . It's not fair to compare his playtroughs with an individual trying to beat the game. And btw, i am not saying this to minimise insym's skills. It's obvious that he knows the game to a t, and maybe that's why it seems boring too . I don't like the game or dev, and i don't think that will change. I haven't watched any wttg playtroughs before this, so maybe the people who did watch or play wttg 1 and 2 have a slight emotional attachment to the characters and story so its easyer for me to just not like the game. Maybe I'll give wttg1 and 2 a watch for funsies
@@vivuviu I think you missed the point of the "game", at least in my opinion wttg 1-2, and scrutinized are all extremely boring games to watch. I also think they mostly appeal to a niche audience (due to a hyper focus on difficulty, and perma death) but when actually playing them especially wttg 2 they get carried by ambiance and such. With that being said I do also think this is closer to 6 out 10, biggest reason is the noir, lucas, and mr. delfalco outside of bugs aren't really threat. Due to the scope of the game I don't know if there is a way to fix that either, also lucas might as well have done mr. delfalco's role as well
@lightsword6832 remember when the phasmo devs said they won't add exorcism stuff because it would make the ghosts not scary? This is a prime example of that. Why would i be scared of noir if you can just tippitoe to the lady and turn around at the right time ? Why would i be scared of lucas if he is just ...playing w cat lasers ...and mr defalco is only scary because of the sounds he causes or makes, and aparently theres even a way to avoid those too. So now that u know how to avoid dying from every character all u do is make a good strategy. But wait! The game has bugs ! Lots of em....which i get its a new game, but they are the sort of bugs a day of playtesting would expose....so the game rn isn't unwinable because its hard so to say . Yes it has it's difficulty but we don't even know what is there as a feature and what is there as a bug. So players just put hours of their time into something that leaves them extremely annoyed and frustrated at the end ...trully a game for masochists
I just had one of the biggest scares of my life in this game. Had a camera malfunction, so I got up and looked around for Noir. Saw no one so I sat down to fix it, but apparently while I was doing that Noir spawned in cuz I got killed when I tried to get up IMMEDIATELY after fixing the camera
Did you check the bathroom? If you have lights off in the apartment and dont specifically go over to the bathroom door to check it Noir can also be there.
@@TheDragonsBastille I did, and had all the lights on as well. The timing does sound weird as I think he'd have to spawn in IMMEDIATELY when I sat down, but kinda seems like the only explanation til I learn more of the AI

OK hear me out what if you could buy more camera. It would make checking harder because there are more cams, but it would make anomalies much more common.
Like you buy 3 more cams but they're more active.
Now that I think about it, it remember an old indie game called something like "do not feed the monkeys" which had a very similar premise to this.

I'm gonna have to put in the effort to complete this myself. The game is actually pretty fun. Satisfying dealing with each of the threats, even if it is super unforgiving.
I had the most BS thing happen yesterday. Accidently closed the door in my face instead of closing it behind me, and Lucas spawned in front of me and killed me through the door
It was hilariously unfair

On the other hand Delfucko did not seem to trigger even though I saw him. I quickly went to a different cam. I'm thinking waiting ~15 in game minutes before returning to the cam would keep him away. Died before I could fully see on him.

Lucas couldn't manage to kill a protagonist in 2 whole games 😂. as many times as the player went to the roof and Lucas couldn't shoot him. Lucas can't even get through the door meanwhile Defalco can just stroll in 😂
Adam said deltaco is kinda like the dollmaker. I at first also thought of a way to not spawn him at all, but what if he is like the doll maker in the way that you have to get yourself caught in the hallway (probably not at home, afterall he always comes hallway first).
And then he gives you some kind of task to do. Maybe not report his murders and in return he maybe creates more anomalies + let's you of the hook.
If he catches you in the hallway he just uses his saw to decapitate you. Would’ve been cool if your idea was correct.

I feel like youre the only one who has the balls to criticize the GameDev. This game was almost unbeatable at first. and this adam guy is normally really bad with critics. i really like that you say whats on your mind.
I think DelFalco is a neat addition.
The ending is a little strange, but I'm not as in-the-know with this developer and his games as you are. I have watched like every single game he's released (Welcome to the Game 1 and 2, Scrutinized, uh... the Rides with Strangers demo, and this). His games are usually unique and very interesting. They're dark and creepy. I genuinely loved watching people play WttG, so maybe he'll make a new one.
I think he's abandoned Rides with Strangers, which is a bit disappointing as it seemed very cool, but I'm here for whatever he makes. His games are kind of cool. Too hard for me, but nice to watch.

I honestly feel like this game is less scary than welcome to the game 2. I feel like it became pretty predictable pretty fast. With wttg2 you had so many mechanics you had to keep track of whilst this game in comparison seems pretty straight forward. Take the killers for example, in wttg2 you had lucas, police, noir, breather and doll maker. You had your mechanics for the police like swapping wifi on regular bases and hacking wifis; for Lucas you always had to keep up an ear for a little sound cue in early game; dollmaker is a thinkg on its own causing the player to get way more involved in roaming the map; breather is a rather nieche mechanic and straight forward. Dead Signal somewhat lacks the involvement, as soon as you see/hear a threat (and the cues a pretty obvious) you react while wttg2 takes somewhat more concentration. With that being said I would appreciate more wttg2 playthroughs (I watch them to fall asleep to xD)

I was waiting to see a game like this because it has the tense feeling of checking around for spawned hostiles, anomallies, the mechanics of hidings like with Lucas I think is his name from WTTG2 and the added features of keypads, packages and so much more, it is so damn good.
The red/green lights on the server in the middle row are sometimes blinking and sometimes they are not.
So much getting up giving me motion sickness!

Spawn more, maybe make them slightly easier to spot, but give penalties for leaving things unreported or giving false reports
now he will exploit the game to the max on nightmare mode and be the only person to beat it. he did it with scrutinized he will do it with this game. lol
Not sure if we've already figured this out or not, but pretty sure the duration of Lucas/delTaco 'kill state' is based on the number of lights on (like in W2TG2). So like no light on = 30 secs, 2 lights on = 1min, etc. (I'm guessing it's like a minimum of 30 secs +15 additional secs per light or something like that.)
with no lights on lucas will only scan your apartment for 7 seconds.
Dead Singal seems to be my least favorite of Adam's games, but it was still lots of fun to watch you play it.
I'm hoping that John's chapter gets back to the "roots" a bit though.

I was amped by the intro and proud you beat it on old hard mode. But watching, you just whined about how hard it was constantly. Like.. Of course the dev nerfed it into the ground. Like it's an accomplishment you beat it but it was painful to watch because it was a complete whine fest that probably pressured the dev. I know sharing is pointless because it's your channel and content but God the second hour of this was so obnoxious. My favorite part was the game saying you got 38/69 anomalies and you trying to explain it away and backtrack. It was the much needed "get gud".

oh i think i get it:
adam has a check point for every hour of the game where it checks if you have at least the quota amount of points , but in the last hour its preprogrammed , or checked ahead of the hourly quota code so it first checks if its the ending flag, than it cannot check for the quota because of the end game flag.

you can indeed get a laser on the rooftop. You get a hiding spot on the boxes that would be behind you as you fix the antennae.

mods just deleting messages asking why they delete random messages. then telling them to behave as if they did something wrong.
mods do be just deleting anything on a whim, holy. few comments come in joking about elevator being slow and character being heavy and they just target a random and delete it. even though Insym himself jokes about it.

Those “hacked monitors” in the server room aren’t hacks. I’m assuming you made the same mistake I did when I thought because the screen was yellow, that it was a hack. But they’re like that all game long. So they’re normal.

I believe, or atleast this is personal speculation that he cannot spawn on a package door considering its quite literally the door of a client of yours so it wouldnt make sense for him to order products from shade, also put this comment on the second video i believe
