So actually when I was 15 in 1987, i wasn't listening to a RAPPER, but a SOCIAL POET, sent down from HEAVEN 🙌🏿
😂 this was 91-92 ❤
You spelled 2pac wrong.😊
My favorite Cube song. This song brings back a feeling that I cant explain about the 90s. Great feeling.
No other song has more lyrics that pop up in my head throughout the day than this one.... "Coming out feeling about 10 pounds lighter" this song is straight comedy
I was a baby but I love the 90s rap and especially the 80s
Steady Mobbin 2022
Facts cuz
I still walk around talkin bout "Ice Cube had mo amps get in bitch"
This was a classic back in the good ol days. Who still blasting this in 2020?
I was listening to this in '91, when I was a freshman in highschool.
@@Stanley.77 This was the song back in highschool.
@@antoniobodley9350
Hell yeah. This was blowin up on WGCI 107.5 Chicago in '91!
Also, I don't know where you were in '91, but I remember they had "Juke Box" or "the Box" on channel 13, which didn't fully come in in Chicago... The music did but the music videos were fuzzy 😂. I remember you could request music videos with a 4-digit code, and it would charge a dollar or something to the phone bill... I remember giving my mom cash, so I could request videos! Those were the days!
These young'uns today don't know about taping songs off the radio or dubbing cassette tapes or making mix tapes!
Damn I feel old *AF!*
@@Stanley.77 I was in highschool back in 91. Where I am from we had radio station call WENN 107 and some other station I can't remember that played this song. I didn't know Ice Cube got the beat from this song from a group called The Average White Band.
@@antoniobodley9350
Yeah they were that band that made "Play that funky music, white boy..." I don't know the name of the song this was sampled from, though.
Cube was crippin' on this track.🔥
Probably one of the best Hip Hop beats for Ice Cube
Cube has plenty of dope beats. ''Check yo self'' , ''Ghetto bird'' , ''Wicked'' etc, not counting all of the ''Westside connection'' beats, those were perfect too for his style of rapping.
@@Koltkaze facts bro 😎👌🏽
@Koltkaze That first Lench Mob album had those samples/beats/mixes. I like it more than Westside Connect.
This is giving me Yo MTV Raps , The Box nostalgia! If you know you know! My era of music! The good days!❤️
Facts Dawg
Don't forget about CB4 segment 😆😂

@@denizisi7245 I'd say from 89 to 93... that's when he was considered unequivocally the best rapper in the game
Sterling Williams I agree, but cube dropped some lyrical bombs from 94-96, too.
Nothing like 80s 90s hip hop. Teen in the 90s blastin Cube Biggie Tupac Wu Tang Mobb Deep CHill BBoys Snoop Dre and the rest out of the car all day all night THOSE where some times and collectively the best hip hop ever
DADDY! This song has been playin' in my head all day. I just had to come and check on it. My dad used to blast this cassette like it was nobody's business.
Me too. On the way to the beach is when I remember this song the most. Window down blaring.
It's a song made for Cruisin like Fresh Prince and Summertime.

ice cubes flow is something special
"Dropped in the bathroom, coming out feelin' about ten pounds lighter!" I was like in the 6th grade and that was my fav bar that year. I used to let my mom listen to the clean version of this and when she heard that she would always cringe! LOL
"Fools get drunk and wanna compete slap boxing in the street" THIS WAS MY SHIT!!!!

Without Ice Cube we may have never seen the rise of Wacky D. Respect ✊
I'm 12 and I brought my ear pods to school and played this, my friend turned to me and said "what're you listening to?" I gave him one of my ear pods and he started bobbing his head and said it was pretty good and he'll listen to it, next thing you know and he's bopping it 24/7...
Ice cube was ahead of his time.
He said.
And I quote:
"The bigger the CAP
.. the bigger the peelin."
Fuq with the 90s churrin.
I love bumping this jam cruising Bristol back in the day...I know some a y’all out there recognize...holla if you hear me Cali!! 👊🏼👩🏻🎤😎

Ice cube is the movie actor ever lived
This is real oldschool
Cube was "THE TRUTH!!!"
Cube is still "The Truth".
Right now, you’re probably reminiscing about music like this being played at nightclubs with the bass cranked up and the smell of the hairspray from hot girls and their perfume all over you when you were busting a move on the dance floor. Then there’s the smell of the white smoke that clubs used to spray on the dance floor.
Yo me and Joshua Lopez (dead) and I put 2 bose (edit Kenwood) speakers in my Volkswagon Karmann Ghia '70 yellow paint sidekick rollin' a 70 Impala...this was the jam.
Rollin 60s crips love this song lol there goes the neighborhood

Growing up in South Central, this still a normal weekend in 2021
I don't give a damn what folks say about Dre's CHRONIC, IMHO no record played end-to-end makes me feel more like I've just taken a cruise through the dangerous streets of early 90s South Central LA hood than Cube's DEATH CERTIFICATE album. And I'm a white boy from the suburbs. So damn cinematic!
Thank you for ur music and especially the first Friday movie …. Worlds best flic….ever
Very slick, original sounding production. Nice "Average White Band" sample here.
This song reminds me of when Bill Cosby, was dropping some dope sounds in the 70. I believe this is where he got the concept from. he also do movies like Bill. is ice cub the modern Bill Cosby. 😊
Coming out feeling about ten pounds lighter!
