Yep. We should send some Rafale and Tejas jets next time though, the SU-30s are getting a bit repetitive. It would be good for them to get this experience. Plus, China has deployed it's J-20s near the border after backing away in front of our build-up, it would be pretty helpful to target them if we practice with the F-35s. The S-400s are a nice addition to our inventory but they won't help that much in the case of a major war as much as a dedicated air-superiority fleet would.
Fantastic video! Can't believe this didn't show up when I searched specifically for this exercise yesterday and only found it now in Recommendations. Incredible video! Subscribed
Absolutely fantastic and amazing. Love the afterburner in full swing. Just wondering where is the position that you took video from. There is a slim chance that I might come to Darwin this year.
@@CallsignEskimo-l3o Damn! Do you know any other good viewing spots for the night flights? We have been to Amy Johnson designated viewing place but unfortunately they all take off in opposite direction at night 😩
Heart-pumping with the audio, but swap the background music for some electronic music like David Guetta's I'm Good/Blue, it's soothing. Amazing work, and you have a new sub!
amazing night exercises! great footages! but not training in pitch black. IR goggles and flight instrumentation like in dessert storm. that is pitch black, no runway lights.
The exercise is called Pitch Black. Has been so long before IR goggles ever existed. The point of this exercise is a major component of it is run at night. That's where the name comes from.
Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30 MKI @ 2:57 and 9:21
The su caught me off for a moment, I forgot India operates them
Ah thankyou. I was wondering.

Nothing more beautiful than fighter jets taking to night skies on afterburners.
So true!

India 🇮🇳SU 30 SIZE AND SOUND IS AWSOME 🥰
The sound of an F-16 is by far the greatest jet in history(sound wise). 🇨🇦
the sukhoi and f-15 look amazing
The best place to watch Pitch Black Night Ops is from the Darwin O's Mess deck.
Where is this place? I am not a Darwin local but here on holiday and would love to go and see. Thanks
@@pjmbarlick It's the Officers' Mess at the RAAF Base. Unfortunately, it's not open to the public.

They still have a curfew.

Damn those German Typhoons make a glorious racquet!!!!
Yep. Noisy buggers. But impressively they were able to super-cruise with external stores when the Singaporeans trialled them in hot and humid weather.

Noticed AWAC led the departure sequence. Heck of a tactical picture with the strike packages following
