I started decluttering and shredding my papers in 2021 and I continued as the years passed. I have downsized so much but it was worth it. It's been four years since I started my decluttering and downsizing journey and I still find something to declutter and shred. I love your videos! You inspire me to declutter more and organize my belongings. ❤️💞
Hi Ali! Wow, you accomplished a lot in just 30 minutes!! I spent the summer & fall of 2023 decluttering everything from the attic, garage & throughout the house. But I agree that decluttering will always be necessary. I’m trying to follow the one in & one out rule now. Love your videos! See you next week. - Julie
I have a bag and a box and I am gonna follow your lead and fill those up with donations! I like how you go from place to place, it feels like the whole house got a once over, declutter. Amazing what you did in so little time!
Thank you, Ali!! Wow! You did an amazing job in 30 minutes! Just look at all those items leaving your home. Thank you for this one, it will help me go through our home too! 🎉
It’s amazing what you can get done in just a few minutes. I have a sheet in a page protector called five minute tasks and I love to see how many I can get done in a day in between piano students!
I just moved here in October so I did a major declutter then. I do have one storage bin I just put away because I knew I wouldn't need anything in it right away. But...my extra phone case is in there so I'm going to have4 to pull it down. You did a great job. Also, donate that coat, never keep clothes that are too big for you.
I know I should donate it! I just have a fear of needing it again someday. Haha. I need to get over that fear or voice in my head telling me I will gain weight back.
I've been overwhelmed with the concept of decluttering because I want to "get it all done" in one large chunk. This is SUPER doable, even for someone like me with ADHD...it almost mimics the "junebugging" approach to cleaning and organizing. Can't wait to have a go with this in my house!
Yay! There are so many ways to make decluttering doable. You might want to watch my playlist of 15 min declutters. It might be helpful to you! You’ve got this!
I find stuff everyday! I have been making a pile for donation and when it get full we take it to the donation center. It is time for me to clean out my closet since summer is here so I will probably have a bag or two when I do that! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Thank you for being genuine about decluttering. I’ve been looking for a white shirt and love yours, could you please share where you bought it? Thanks 😊
We have a store in Utah called Downeast. I’m not sure it’s in many other areas. That’s where I purchased it. I looked on their website (downeastbasics.com) and I couldn’t find it.
Great motivation again. I much prefer when you film like in the end with the garbage bag visible on camera as tossing nicer things is so hard for me compared to when the bag is not on camera and we just see things going away from the camera frame. I hope you'll need to discard any old clothes that can't be donated one day as they're my biggest struggle 😇
I think this video I show what I have in these cupboards. 2024 Kitchen Reset | DECLUTTER & ORGANIZE th-cam.com/video/mqupWZ7y44U/w-d-xo.html I keep small turntables with my spices on them. I also keep my salt/pepper shakers and butter dish there.
I really enjoy your videos! I try to declutter my clothes every six months or so, but my husband is a different story. He has lots of golf shirts (some he hasn’t worn in years). He refuses to declutter them because he “might” wear them. Anyone have any suggestions that might help me to motivate him to declutter?
That’s a hard one, but I totally understand! My husband is the same way. Do you think he’d be willing to put them in a “time will tell” box? In a year from now if he hasn’t worn it, maybe he would be more willing to part with it?
@@reallifewithali I’ll definitely try that. At least they’ll be in a box and in about six months or so, I can just drop them off at the donation center. He’ll have forgotten about the shirts by then. Out of sight, out of mind. 😊 Thanks for the suggestion!
@@katiecauffman1902 no, I don’t. I considered it, but decided against it for now. I may do a live or a q&a sometime in the near future if people are interested in that!

A key to declutter is to HUGELY MINIMIZE SPENDING!!

No, I just keep it there to try and keep my kids from eating all my gum! Haha.
I wonder if black RIT dye could fix your husband's jacket. The over the door organizer is a fantastic idea for organizing everyone's accessories!
