In this video we are going to learn how to do abacus division of 4 digit by 2 digit.

2 digit multiplication in abacus - • 2 Digit X 2 Digit Mult...
EXAMPLE 1:
567 / 4 ROUGH
567 / 4 = 1
Step 1 : Check the first digit
here it is 5
So, nearest multiple of 5 in 4 table is 4 * 1 = 4
Step 2 : Subtract 5 from the hundreds rod
We'll have 167 left
Step 3 : Check the first digit ROUGH
here it is 1 567 / 4 = 14
1 is less than 4
so take the first two digits
here they are 16
Nearest multiple of 16 is 4 * 4 = 16
Step 4 : Subtract 16 from the hundreds rod
We'll have 7 left
Step 5 : We have 7 left
We know that 4 * 1 =4
Step 6 : Subtract 7 from the units rod ROUGH
567 / 4 = 141
QUOTIENT IS 141
REMAINDER IS 3

To do division without using abacus that is visualisation method, what you can do is to follow the same process as we do with abacus but write down the quotient on a paper. Its hard to explain everything here, I'll make a video on this.

Oh so you need to memorize time table in 1-99 to solve 2 digit division on abacus. so why still need abacus if you know answer.

You only need to memorize multiplication table from 1-9, which I believe is the bare minimum to do any sort of division. What made you feel the need to memorize 1-99 multiplication table?
