What is B O motor cHiNa special?
Should check amps. Tells all and is insurance motor will work trouble free
Thanks for sharing! Quick job! You make it look easy.
Ok
Those Carolina Logger Boots are the shit!
Carolina is the best boot
Like the camera 👍
Professional looking installed furnace
My knees got sore just watching this.
In Europe the work trousers have built in kneepad pockets for foam inserts. It makes a huge difference.
@@bigclivedotcom yep I can't work without 'em .
It's always nice when the motor just slides out like that no lubricant and no puller good deal
What did we do without impact driver’s
Spent alot more time on service calls!
Those motors youre using are awesome i use the same ones and i also get some cool rescue motors from the same brand. Emmerson makes some cool stuff including brackets that fit so many kinds of furnaces. Us motors for the win. Broad ocean motors kinda suck to say the least. Great video as always.
A nice basement like that needs strips of LED lighting.
I put 6 lights in my own crawl space. If only homeowners knew how much quicker we work with good lighting and we can actually see termites, mold, snakes, mice, plumbing leaks, while we’re down there.
I just bought a set of 12” 12 VDC led strips and a 24 vac to 12 VDC converter on Amazon, to go at air handlers/gas furnaces. $25 and many years of light during servicing. No GFCI circuit needed and no pulling power off the 240 vac circuit to ground for lights.
I had a board ocean motor fail in an exhaust fan at a commercial property. Those motors are supper expensive.
It seems like carrier product are not as high quality as thought ..
Turned 50, with sore knees like yours. I bought three rubber kneeling pads from Amazon. I wish I had bought them 23 years ago when I started HVAC work. Best $10-30 you’ll spend.
I mentioned same thing, get a pad it's money well spent!
Anytime you’re on your knees working and can’t find the tool you need, nine times out of ten it’s directly behind you where you can’t see or reach it and the tenth time is when you inadvertently carry it out to the truck to get something you forgot and then leave the tool in the truck. It’s a vicious circle.
Get yourself a pad to kneel on,Kobalt has I pretty nice thick one! After 25 years my
Knees thank me every time I work on the floor!
at 5:11 + realization of rework sets in "ohhhh crap". yep it happens to everyone, none of us are perfect. it's all in how quick you catch, admit to and correct the mistake that counts.
some lifestyles a tiny mistake or issue becomes massive life threatening to one or multiple thousands (millions/billions/EARTH full) of people. coughs
Nidec is Japanese company, whom own's/subsidiary of US Motors. they also bought up a few companies I worked for locally years ago.
whilst I'm leery of any single country gobbling up too much of any supply chains, I'm far less worried about Japan than say China! especially now days (been screaming it for years to deaf ears) as production has all moved away or been sold to foreign countries. there comes a point that you have not enough production or leverage to sustain and become a weak sitting duck country. I' afraid USA is beyond that level afar and the Democrat socialsts have taken it ( well until they force us into a civil war and world war again. I sadly feel the USA and planet isn't far from such once again
When pulling wires off the board not fun when terminal comes off of board 🙄
#192 Thumbs up
You need the knee PADS. believe me, I know
Bro, you need to start using knee pads or a mat.
Those US motors are junk also had 3 condenser motors fail within a month I went back to Fasco motors
its a shame we buy that crap from china. this motor will last a long time.
Crap lighting there but atleast you have elbow room and head room
Crawl spaces worse
I thought you put a hole in that concrete until you rubbed it and said shit coming out of motor
I was like dammm thats some shitty concrete momma
Give it a lil gunga
I guess Carrier, like other manufacturers, buy Chinese equipment (Broad Ocean) in order to save cost & increase profit, then cross their fingers that it won't fail prematurely under the warranty period. I've had three Chinese motor driven inducers in a 2008 Infinity. Carrier bought two, I bought one...
maybe your static pressure is too high or there's a power quality problem, three motors is nuts.
you can just change the module - i assume u know that.
it is crazy to use chinese motors in premium infinity equipment. i would expect that more in the comfort line.
@@Jon-hx7pe Bearing failure each time Jon. Everything checks out system wise.
@@JCT442 must be some crappy bearings. the really old motors are the best for that - i remember seeing oiling ports, they can last forever if treated right.
@@Jon-hx7pe No oil ports as they are sealed units... guarantees replacing and profits for Carrier out of warranty!
@@JCT442 all of them are like that! for out of warranty there are generic variable speeds now that pull the programming from the board apparently if ecm 3.0 - www.regalbeloit.com/brands/Genteq/Aftermarket-Products/Evergreen-Motors/Evergreen-VS-Motor
Never understood why people have such a nice basement and piss poor lighting
who goes into their basement anymore, unless it's fully finished living space with with bedroom and egress window?
1st and 2nd floor laundry(lazy fat person maker, but ok for fall probe elderly) been there done that in the mid 90's, we actually put a dryer on the screened in porch and washer in the 1st floor pantry, right around the corner inside the door. she used it that way for 14 more years! it was because poor sight(legally blind) and cut off foot/leg parts. she didn't die falling down the stairs nor from abandonment. it helped keep her freedom of moving around doing daily small tasks! what a concept ehh!
oh man. Isn't that great, you have to pull out a rats nest of wiring before you can access the blower motor.
They are all like that now that the ecm motors are required.
@@petersmart1999 Yeah I know
They want like $1000 for this 20 minute job in my area.
Well I mean do you know what it costs to run a company? It’s very expensive. Also what kind of motor do you have ? Some I’ve seen cost $750.....
Ecm motors in all new equipment ,they are very expensive, but hey you'll save $20 a year on electricity
@@adamcraig1568 Mine was like $500 for the motor then another $500 for labor. I think he was here 45 minutes.
@@grasscutter88 That is a little high, on average for a PSC motor installed around 5-650, ECM parts alone are 900 plus not including labor or service call.
With that said the reason he got done in 45 mins is because we do dozens of those a year. A lot of ways to install them wrong, clean up a lot of DIYers who make a mess of it.
