I think the concept was suppose to come from actual plants that infect ants with mind controlling spores which makes them climb to the top of the nearest plant, freeze and the spore sprouts out through the head of the paralyzed ant and releases pollen in the air to spread. Even if you can get past the part of having to believe trees communicate with each other, I'll never get over having to believe they control the wind or the wind is in on it. I feel like M. knew there were major plot holes and knowing he couldn't have a plot twist that explained it all, he went with a sudden ending and lazily says it's up to the audience to determine what happened.
@@DeviantDork Well, actually, 🤓it’s plant kingdom assisted, non-consensual suicide. AKA Murder by toxins, and/or spores released by plants and other life, like fungi or even things from the ocean. 😆
This movie would work better as one of those ARG films, like Cloverfield, where you see the film, and then if you look online for easter eggs and if you are REALLY interested you can get the bigger picture.
He definitely pulled a Tommy Weiseau (sp) when he claimed it was meant to be a goofy B-movie, even it was couched in the admission that he messed it up a bit. It is clearly an attemot at atmospheric horror. Basically a The Last of Us where plants have deleoped a way to fight back and rid the infection that is humanity (deep, lol). It's just an abject failure in every way. Sjch3 a bad movie but a fun-bad movie for sure.
M. Night Dickweed is the most obnoxious, pretentious, awful filmmaker. That said, whoever does his trailers does amazing and deserves every dime they get for tricking all of us all the time!
Their expressions are so forced. I use this one for my podcast player. 64.media.tumblr.com/ca14293f9d4788f4c1f23c5335daa69e/edd9aaf9456fd679-be/s1280x1920/0c8b500a5fff99d9f293dd4231e248c0d7813e4c.jpg
Every death in this movie was in the trailer. Literally every single one.
Ahhh! I lost track of this podcast. The RAD episode was amazing.

almost got mad at the trigger warning and then realized its actually really considerate of paul to include that.
Yeah this whole movie is about suicide, and for some reason it's funny. It's good he said that.

@@DeviantDorkSuicide is funny in the right context. 👍
@@DeviantDork for sure, it is weird when i movie is so bad that it makes something, seemingly horrifying, actually funny.
In the end all Joey & Zoey(Alma) got was TERRORmasu.
This is almost like the Netflix movie The Discovery with Jason segal
The fact that I know Zooey Deschanel as 'Jess' (from New Girl), didn't help.
I know her as the nepo-baby of Mary Jo Deschanel, and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel
