I watched this movie after watching this review. And I feel even this review is not enough. I am not a person who usually comment on social media. But after watching this movie I was literally silent and remain seated alone in dark for some time. A really great movie with no nonsense songs, overacting nothing. Just great acting justifying the great story.
You are right bro I rarely get imotional and I rarely watch any movie but this movie make me imotional. You can't imagine how I controlled myself. My eyes got tear for 2 sec. and I watch the last 7 min 2 times. And I think If any movie can make me weap for 2 sec. I can say it is very imotional movie. Kya movie hai yaar. Till interval I was thinking ki itni simple story to hai isme Aisa kya hai. But 2nd half kya hi hai loved it. Vijay Sethupathi G.O.A.T and Anurag Kashyap what a acting. Other than both of them the girl also acted so beautifully. Also the other supporting staff was fab too. And the ending of the movie is no one could have imagined.

it is one of those films that you just can't forget no matter how much time passes. The realness of actors, scenes dialogues .. the gritty human-ness is so palpable. Nothing is fancy. Anurag is a fine cast, main lead is brilliant, and I was so happily surprised how Police was depicted: they are petty, money grabbing, corrupt but damn there is a line that even they do not ever cross. No reveals, so wont say much. Last 15 minutes, I have repeated almost every scene to re-watch, to see expressions of other actors. Recommended
Did anyone notice a timeline mistake in the movie? The truck collapsed into the house after Anurag was sent to jail (when Vijay was returning the chain). So, Anurag should not see the injuries on his daughter (as he was already in jail). But there is a scene in which Anurag is treating her daughter. How, then, did he recognize them? 🤔🤔 Please tell me if I’m wrong here.

Movies like this are extremely difficult to remake. It won't come out like the original since the story background and screenplay/dialogues are unique to the original language/cultural background. They can draw inspiration from it and use it in themes in other movies/languages.
