I just met Lee this week, friendly guy, nice trees. Glad to see you made it down to Ptown. Downtown is certainly still in a recovery phase. I hope it can be restored to its original beauty in the near future.

Your videos are very interesting and informative. I’ve always been interested in the whole bonsai culture (my grandma had a decent garden full of them). Yesterday, I went to a local market in China were I have settled down and got a small tree that was already sort of bent and shaped in a nice looking way. No idea what type tree it is but I’m looking forward to taking care of it for the years to come. Thanks again for your videos and keep up the good work.
Nice looking trees you came back with after your venture to Portland. I’d love to visit his place in the near future. Will try to contact him to see when this could happen. Looking forward to the progress on your Yamadori trees.
Love those Ponderosas, took a tip from your last collected trees from Andy and got a pair, one Shohin Ponderosa and one Literata looks similar to yours .
Ben, first great video. Question, why aren't these trees in Root Maker baskets to help root development ? Just trying to understand the training process .Thanks
Hi Ben love your videos. I might go to mountains around here to start a bonsai of my own. I would think Oregon has similar regs than Washington. You've also inspired me to go fig tree crazy I've spent about 2g so far and would like your opinion on them but I'm sure your too busy. Thank for the videos
Hey, Ben! I've been growing 7 fig trees in 20 gal pots. We have orders to Tacoma area in 2 weeks and I'm so happy to be leaving the hell hole that is las vegas!! My trees do so well until it reaches 100°...which this year was the 3rd week of May!!! I would like to know how you would transport fig trees on a 18 hour drive. We have an enclosed trailer and we were just going to put them in there so the wind didn't destroy leaves and branches....but I wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks.

100! thats too hot for my liking. =) I'd keep some jugs of water, since it sounds like the trailer could potentially turn into a hot box
Bonsais in Portland that didn’t get thrown in a dumpster fire? That’s. more impressive than the ones that survived getting nuked!
I would love to try and bonsai an autumn olive and see if the fruits look like crab apples when it fruits.
holy moly, i would've bought a ton there. could've easily spent a couple grand on these.
very good stuff for US material
US material is the same as Japanese Material. Its the technique, not the country. The craftmanship, not the race.
Can you do an update video on your magnolia bonsai, it’s hard to find videos on magnolia😊
Where is Lee's place? Or the name? Would love to visit!
