Out of all, I have the most respect for Janelle. She's so laid back, smart and sweet. Christine has grown on me. She seems happier these days. More full of life. Meri is a lot to take. She's really emotional all the time, and seems like she may suffer from depression. Robyn has never grown on me. I'm sure she's a nice woman, but she just seems to do her own thing with Cody. Janelle is my fave.

Polygamy is really great if you can get past the jealousy. I actually prefer it and really struggled when my co wife needed to travel. Its easier to raise kids when you only need to worry about your husband half the time. And easier to be a great wife (along with being a mother) when u only need to half the time. I was a complete brat at the start. Couldn't get past my jealousy. I was such a toxic person to my own self and realise now looking back that it wasnt a healthy love that i had for my husband. But what's worse is that i didnt love myself. It was my own feelings of insecurity in my husband's love for me that made me so insanely jealous. Once i got past my over thinking and constant habit of creating bad scenarios in my mind, and started to truly pay attention to all the things my husband did to show me how much he loved me, the jealousy went away. People who have an issue with polygamy really need to look at the low success rate of marriages in current times. Societies are headed for absolute disaster. Middle aged single childless sad and lonely women is a major problem in our day and age. I also have many friends who are single mothers who would love to have the stability and security of a marriage and even prefer to be a second or third wife because they know their limitations. Something people dont realise is that its hardest on the husbands. Co wives constantly criticise the husband of being better to the other wife. So hes left constantly unappreciated no matter how much he does. Its also a massive responsibility to look after more that one household and so many children. Everyone needs this one man and he needs to make sure he can provide for them all. Im pretty sure i gave my husband ptsd from the early days. Im Muslim. Polygamy is allowed in islam. It has so many benefits and i truly see that its a blessing. Btw from watching this interview, and knowing the ins and outs of polygamy, i can tell that meri and robyn are the ones that seem to be struggling most. The thin blonde lady has it together, and the bigger blonde lady struggles but also manages well and is able to be constructive with her bad feelings. Maybe a bit like me. Umm Osayd. Have you watched from the beginning? Jennel (heavier blonde) and Christine (thinner blonde). In the early days of the show but Meri wasn't very nice to them in my opinion. Maybe because she was the legal wife. I think they have found thier voice and are using it! Jenelle wife #2 I feel was really beaten down in some ways by Meri she seemed to be more interverted and quite and I think Meri took advantage of that! I'm not a polygamist but I can see the advantages to having co-wives sister wives. I wouldn't want more than one husband but I could see where the sister wife dynamic could really work with the right woman life would be easier in some ways I think you would be able to really follow your dreams and know your children were always taken care of. Whether your dreams are to conquer the world in business or business woman or to be a stay-at-home mom and raise your children I can see the benefits to it. I think the stay at home mom would really have to be a good woman to share herself involved another woman's child like they were their own I think that's the biggest problem with stepmothers some women just can't love another woman's child!
@@juliemitchell6037 no i havent watched this show, just a couple of clips on TH-cam. I can tell that meri has let polygamy wear her down. Polygamy is a great discipline for woman. U really see your true self under what u thought you were. So you think youre this kind, caring, generous, loving person. Polygamy tears down that facade and exposes whats under it. You see your selfish, angry, weak, hateful, evil side. And its either you let that side of you take over and destroy your life, or you confront it and fix the problems. Every woman has them, we just dont always get the chance to see and fix them. I deal with a lot of women in polygamy and its generally all the same mechanisms at work. Its more difficult i think for first wives to suddenly have another woman walk in. But all wives generally face the same challenges. Jealousy, insecurity, comparison, ingratitude. And it makes no difference if you are a beauty queen and your co is a cripple, youll still be jealous. What worked for me after about 3 years of struggling was realising that God could really send me a real test. I have 4 healthy kids, money, a house, loving husband and so much more. and i was miserable every single day because of one minor thing which was that i wasnt the one and only wife. I actually realised i was wasting my life being sad while nothing in my life was bad. Like imagine if i was lile another woman who's child was seriously ill, or died. Thats something thats truly upsetting. But i was wasting happy and easy times being upset about something so stupid. And from that day i chose to be happy. Me and my co each look after our own house. The benefits for me is that my husband isnt here every single day so i have a day to just focus on me and the kids. I can visit friends and have a life. Also another advantage is thst im not this crazy over obsessed wife. I learned to be loving and supportive rsther than suffocate him. And the best advantage is thst i actually have a husband. I could have been single and lonely like so many women are these days.
I dont understand the argument "it makes it easier to raise children". Well yeah, having 700 wives would make it even easier, but that doesn't make it a good idea or right. Maybe instead, the husband should pull his weight and PARENT instead of just being a dictator/ financial provider, then you wouldn't "need" another wife. Two parents have always been enough in my family for every generation, and it is the way God intended. There is no reason for a second wife to "help with the children", that is the mother and the father's main responsibility and role. Also, just because a lot of marriages are unsuccesful i doesn't make polygamy a good idea? It means people need to put MORE work into their marriage with one another, not solve it by having sex with someone else and conveniently calling it another" wife"... . The reason people get jealous over their husband sleeping with other women is because we are supposed to! Im sure he wouldnt like you having sex with another man very much! Not to mention you can "learn to be loving and supporting" to your partner without them bringing someone else into the marriage. Also just because there are people worse off, it doesn't mean we should start settling. I'd MUCH rather be "alone" than have a husband who doesnt value me enough to make me his one and only partner. Besides, being alone doesn't equate lonliness, you are very confused on that. Plenty of single women are fulfilled, while plenty of people in relationships are just going through the motions and actually quite lonely and unhappy. There's this dynamic of pity of single women that some married women like to play, which is ironic because as a single woman, I pity women who have settled and are too afraid to be alone to find actual happiness and fulfilment. I want more than a provider or the relief of finally being "mrs" or to simply "have a husband", I want one life partner, who wants me and only me back. I want a partnership, I don't fear being alone and I know blessings come with patience. But with that being said, I believe each to their own as long as they are consenting adults and can do as they wish, but I certainly do not personally agree with these justifications for plural marriage at all. If your best reason for plural marriage is "you actually have a husband", that just screams settling and "well better than being alone", to which i feel the exact opposite and would so much rather be alone until I want what I know I need and want.
@@cayk9444 well in my situation, no one helps me with my kids. I just have more time with them because my husband has another wife. Men in polygamy chip in far more when it comes to their family than monogamous men. Because there is so much more that needs to be done. Its not fun and games for the husband, its a massive responsibility. Also dont down play men being financial providers. Its a very stressful and demanding task, with an immense amount of pressure to succeed. Failure means a lot of people needing him will be extremely disappointed. Polygamy isnt roses and daisies. Its hard. But having been previously married to someone who was just a terrible person, and being an only wife. Id rather be the second, 3rd, 4th wife to a good man than the only to a deadbeat. My marriage works. Ive grown heaps and learned loads about myself throughout this journey. And i have been able to help many other women struggling to come to terms with it in their own lives. Happiness at the end of the doesnt depend on anyone or anything. It is entirely dependent on an individuals perception. Often times women hang it on the necks of their husband and become extremely co dependent. Im blessed that ive learned not to be that way and its polygamy that taught me.

I'm glad that is the case in your house though, but I've heard the women tend to have the brunt of the parenting and responsibilites (other than finances), since the men are sole providers. I am absolutely not downplaying the stress of being a provider, but my point is that i think a husband should be so more than a provider, he is a partner. He is my life partner, and I am his. While I am certainly sad to hear about your past relationships, that has nothing to do with monogamy but rather the shitty individual (and shitty individuals can come in any relationship type). But I don't understand why it's a terrible abusive ex OR polygamy. Its not an all or nothing. There are plenty of wonderful, loving men that are looking for one woman, but sometimes blessings come with patience. I'd also have to disagree with the "clingyness" comment. Polygamy is really great if you can get past the jealousy. I actually prefer it and really struggled when my co wife needed to travel. Its easier to raise kids when you only need to worry about your husband half the time. And easier to be a great wife (along with being a mother) when u only need to half the time.
I was a complete brat at the start. Couldn't get past my jealousy. I was such a toxic person to my own self and realise now looking back that it wasnt a healthy love that i had for my husband. But what's worse is that i didnt love myself. It was my own feelings of insecurity in my husband's love for me that made me so insanely jealous.
Once i got past my over thinking and constant habit of creating bad scenarios in my mind, and started to truly pay attention to all the things my husband did to show me how much he loved me, the jealousy went away.
People who have an issue with polygamy really need to look at the low success rate of marriages in current times. Societies are headed for absolute disaster. Middle aged single childless sad and lonely women is a major problem in our day and age. I also have many friends who are single mothers who would love to have the stability and security of a marriage and even prefer to be a second or third wife because they know their limitations.
Something people dont realise is that its hardest on the husbands. Co wives constantly criticise the husband of being better to the other wife. So hes left constantly unappreciated no matter how much he does. Its also a massive responsibility to look after more that one household and so many children. Everyone needs this one man and he needs to make sure he can provide for them all. Im pretty sure i gave my husband ptsd from the early days.

Btw from watching this interview, and knowing the ins and outs of polygamy, i can tell that meri and robyn are the ones that seem to be struggling most. Umm Osayd. Have you watched from the beginning? Jennel (heavier blonde) and Christine (thinner blonde). In the early days of the show but Meri wasn't very nice to them in my opinion. Maybe because she was the legal wife. I think they have found thier voice and are using it! Jenelle wife #2 I feel was really beaten down in some ways by Meri she seemed to be more interverted and quite and I think Meri took advantage of that! I'm not a polygamist but I can see the advantages to having co-wives sister wives. I wouldn't want more than one husband but I could see where the sister wife dynamic could really work with the right woman life would be easier in some ways I think you would be able to really follow your dreams and know your children were always taken care of. Whether your dreams are to conquer the world in business or business woman or to be a stay-at-home mom and raise your children I can see the benefits to it. I think the stay at home mom would really have to be a good woman to share herself involved another woman's child like they were their own I think that's the biggest problem with stepmothers some women just can't love another woman's child!

I can tell that meri has let polygamy wear her down. Polygamy is a great discipline for woman. U really see your true self under what u thought you were. So you think youre this kind, caring, generous, loving person. Polygamy tears down that facade and exposes whats under it. You see your selfish, angry, weak, hateful, evil side. And its either you let that side of you take over and destroy your life, or you confront it and fix the problems.
Every woman has them, we just dont always get the chance to see and fix them. I deal with a lot of women in polygamy and its generally all the same mechanisms at work.
Its more difficult i think for first wives to suddenly have another woman walk in. But all wives generally face the same challenges. Jealousy, insecurity, comparison, ingratitude. And it makes no difference if you are a beauty queen and your co is a cripple, youll still be jealous.
What worked for me after about 3 years of struggling was realising that God could really send me a real test. I have 4 healthy kids, money, a house, loving husband and so much more. and i was miserable every single day because of one minor thing which was that i wasnt the one and only wife. I actually realised i was wasting my life being sad while nothing in my life was bad. Like imagine if i was lile another woman who's child was seriously ill, or died. Thats something thats truly upsetting. But i was wasting happy and easy times being upset about something so stupid.
And from that day i chose to be happy.
Me and my co each look after our own house. The benefits for me is that my husband isnt here every single day so i have a day to just focus on me and the kids. I can visit friends and have a life. Also another advantage is thst im not this crazy over obsessed wife. I learned to be loving and supportive rsther than suffocate him.
And the best advantage is thst i actually have a husband. I could have been single and lonely like so many women are these days.
I dont understand the argument "it makes it easier to raise children". Well yeah, having 700 wives would make it even easier, but that doesn't make it a good idea or right. Maybe instead, the husband should pull his weight and PARENT instead of just being a dictator/ financial provider, then you wouldn't "need" another wife. Two parents have always been enough in my family for every generation, and it is the way God intended. There is no reason for a second wife to "help with the children", that is the mother and the father's main responsibility and role.
Also, just because a lot of marriages are unsuccesful i doesn't make polygamy a good idea? It means people need to put MORE work into their marriage with one another, not solve it by having sex with someone else and conveniently calling it another" wife"... . The reason people get jealous over their husband sleeping with other women is because we are supposed to! Im sure he wouldnt like you having sex with another man very much! Not to mention you can "learn to be loving and supporting" to your partner without them bringing someone else into the marriage. Sounds like him feeling "suffocated" meant more the restrictions of only have one woman. Of course it's all fine and dandy now because he has his cake and can eat it too. Also just because there are people worse off, it doesn't mean we should start settling. It doesn't mean we should expect less of our own partner and relationship because "it could be worse", that's just silly in my opinion. We have our own wants, needs, goals, and expectations REGARDLESS of who "has it worse" (or better) than us.
I'd MUCH rather be "alone" than have a husband who doesnt value me enough to make me his one and only partner. Besides, being alone doesn't equate lonliness, you are very confused on that. Plenty of single women are fulfilled, while plenty of people in relationships are just going through the motions and actually quite lonely and unhappy. There's this dynamic of pity of single women that some married women like to play, which is ironic because as a single woman, I pity women who have settled and are too afraid to be alone to find actual happiness and fulfilment. I want more than a provider or the relief of finally being "mrs" or to simply "have a husband", I want one life partner, who wants me and only me back. I want a partnership, I don't fear being alone and I know blessings come with patience. But with that being said, I believe each to their own as long as they are consenting adults and can do as they wish, but I certainly do not personally agree with these justifications for plural marriage at all. If your best reason for plural marriage is "you actually have a husband", that just screams settling and "well better than being alone", to which i feel the exact opposite and would so much rather be alone until I want what I know I need and want.

Men in polygamy chip in far more when it comes to their family than monogamous men. Because there is so much more that needs to be done. Its not fun and games for the husband, its a massive responsibility.

My marriage works. Ive grown heaps and learned loads about myself throughout this journey. And i have been able to help many other women struggling to come to terms with it in their own lives.
Happiness at the end of the doesnt depend on anyone or anything. It is entirely dependent on an individuals perception. Often times women hang it on the necks of their husband and become extremely co dependent. Im blessed that ive learned not to be that way and its polygamy that taught me.

Well each to their own, I just personally don't agree at all. I'm not sure how accurate polygamous men "chipping in more" when it comes to the family is. I'm glad that is the case in your house though, but I've heard the women tend to have the brunt of the parenting and responsibilites (other than finances), since the men are sole providers. I am absolutely not downplaying the stress of being a provider, but my point is that i think a husband should be so more than a provider, he is a partner. He is my life partner, and I am his. While I am certainly sad to hear about your past relationships, that has nothing to do with monogamy but rather the shitty individual (and shitty individuals can come in any relationship type). But I don't understand why it's a terrible abusive ex OR polygamy. Its not an all or nothing. There are plenty of wonderful, loving men that are looking for one woman, but sometimes blessings come with patience. I'd also have to disagree with the "clingyness" comment. While I agree that some women (and lets not forget some men), can be clingy, this is not a matter of adding more people into a relationship so you can like get used to your husband sleeping with other women and be forced to be less jealous, but rather a personal issue where one has to find self worth and work on their relationship with themself so that they dont feel the need to cling off a partner. If you love yourself and truly have self worth, you won't need to cling off another person. To me, it seems so contradicting to deal with jealousy by having a man love and sleep with multiple women. It seems backwards, not forwards. Issues should be dealt between the self and the partner, adding additional people is not a problem solver. I think we all deserve a man that values us and only us (plus the double standard kills me, how would he like you adding more men into the mix). There are so many guys out there, I'd have no interest in going for a guy that doesn't think my love and only my love is enough. I want my daughters to go for a loving, caring, hard working monogamous man that values her and recognizes her worth. If I, myself, am not enough for a man I am with, then he's not the one for me, no matter how great he is in other respects.
