What a brilliant way to explain the raagas with a story backed by animation, using swaras "Gha dha" & "Dha gha" was out of the box thinking - hats off to you Madam 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
remarkable video 👏👏👏👏👏 the story is amazing and so well thought out the animation is beautifully done and obviously your explanation and voice is the cherry on top
Vow! Perfect tutoring in this absolutely great raag family of Bhoop - the world in which the greatest Indian Classical Singer ever, Late great Kishoriji Amonkar has shown us the absolute bliss. Thank you AnujaJi! Madhav Kamat
Beautiful presentation! Bhopali v/s Deshkar v/s Shuddh Kalyan has always been a favourite topic of discussion for me, today I learned about Pahadi too! To add to your video: in Shuddh Kalyan, many people sing teevra Ni and teevra Ma sparingly but explicitly in avrohan, especially in taan - which is why many consider its jaati as Audhav Sampoorna. So that’s often an easy distinction.
Im in my early twenties, not a classical music practitioner, just a casual listener and despite there being many channels ive subscribed to, youre the only channel whose videos(that too full length ones not shorts) will never be missed by me! !Kudos to you for making such warm, engaging ,quality content . Thank you so much!
Really...you are a very high quality teacher.... you can explain the ragas in very simple way, very easy to understand ...... waiting for your more content on ragas...take my love and respect...❤❤❤❤🙏🙏
Anuja ji - Loved the story - pretty simple to differenciate Gadho ka vyapr aur Dhago ka vyapar - Kaha se late ho itane simple tarike Samajhane ke liye. I will never forget this now. Thank you So much Anuja ji
Oh, vow. Most awesome, most beautiful, most authentic and most simple way of exposing the music secret. Thanks for your contributions. I [we] love your tutorials. Even the most celebrated ustad's could not teach music this well. Hindustan and Pakistan salute you.
Your skill of explaining raagas in interesting and convincing way is excellent. I appreciate and admire your knowledge of classical music by its roots.
How amazing that Same Albela Sajan was recorded in different ragas. Despite the same lyrics, how both demonstrated different atmospheres about one in Bajirav Mastani and another in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam ( Ahir Bhairav). The first time I heard about these ragas stuff and Bandish from your video, Anuja from Thaats video because as a western trained musician who was only familiar with Metal, Rock Grunge etc but your Thaat video changed my life and started listening to Indian artists. In that Thaat video, you sang Sahela Re Bandish for Bhopali and I got mesmerized then I listen to original version of Kishori Amonkarji and I totally lost myself how any singer can improvise so beautifully in pentatonic scale raga.
Your video brought a smile to my face with simple, easy to follow illustration and explanation. Keep up the good work. Looking forward more such videos. ❤
This lesson is very thoughtfully and cleverly put together. It has excellent clarity. The animations and mnemonics help quite a bit with understanding the concepts. These videos should be curated and archived well for future generations. Thank you @Anuja K. Please keep them coming.
Hi Anuja, your story telling makes the raaga theory look simple and relatable! Absolute treat for music learners. Keep doing the great work Many thanks!
More of these please. Also please make a video on what should be the best approach to learn ragas, Should it be known song based/ more practice based etc...
Anuja Mam, My small daughter is so much in love and attaracted to your simple manner of explanation with slight animations and segregation of notes... Thanks and pranaam for being a guru.
Hi anuja, big fan though i have no knowledge on indian music your video helped me appreciate it. I do send them to my friends. Good day and peace with your sign hand gesture😊
what a lovely way to learn and understand. Off to my harmonium now to try. Also, you have the most wonderful soothing voice. I would love to hear you sing full songs or classical. May Mata Sarasvati always remain with you.

Beautifully explained. Thank you! Would you say the following are Bhoop based or Deshkar based?
Absolutely wonderful and a very creative presentation. Your introduction with the story of 2 girls in a village made me sit up with full attention. I am hooked on to your videos. Thank you so much.
Enjoyed every bit of the video....unique style of teaching...the story is something I shall always remember...business of Ga Dha and Dha Ga....excellent
I diligently watch all your videos for dual purposes. I get to learn something new and the more selfish reason being getting new songs for my playlists :p

How can someone be so intelligent to minutely explain everything so amazingly and easily!! ❤❤❤love your videos diii💯✨
Just brilliant!!
Excellent explanation👍👍👋👋👋
❤Nice way to make understand how the janaka and janya raga work. Thanks for your sincere efforts.
I look at it as Thaat (scale) and Raag rather than Janak and Janya. Janak and Janya concept gives rise to a hierarchy (not a natural one)!
That's right.Thanks for clarification.
Very nicely explained thro' story bhagini👍
Also add in Raag Jait Kalyan which is a vakra chalan raag.
Hi anuja, big fan though i have no knowledge on indian music your video helped me appreciate it. I do send them to my friends. Good day and peace with your sign hand gesture😊

Fantastic approach of explanation 👌👌👌
U r magical...how interesting !!!
There is Teevra Madhaym in Avaroha of Shuddha Kalyan and it is an Audav-Sampurna Raag. You gave short information about Shuddha Kalyan.
Agree. Shuddha Kalyan as I learnt has avroha as Sa-Ni-Dha...Pa-Ma-Ga where the Ni and Ma are just touched.
Excellent presentation. If you are not already one, you will make a good teacher.
Awesome
Isn't that amazing...what is raga mohana in carnatic music has four variations in hindustani style of music... beautifully explained Didi... please enrich us with the vast expanse of knowledge that you have...❤❤
