Lol i dont do it for them i do it for the one person that says they have a tight budget and that my videos helped them and their kids pick out stuff for them to do for 4th of july. Thats what its all about.

My wholesaler doesn't really carry much Brothers stuff, with the exception of "Hit the Road Jack" and "High Falutin" both of which are still excellent cakes after all these years. Even the wholesale prices on NOABs and premium cans are getting pretty crazy anymore, so I've scaled them both way back, and started utilizing more smaller cakes and oddball things on angled platforms and stuff to make the show more interesting without dumping the cost of a Hawaii vacation into it. Heck, one of the biggest hits of my last show was an old bicycle wheel with multiple cheap fountains zip-tied to the spokes! Had an electric motor to turn it slowly after the fuses all lit. Had it C-clamped horizontally to the top of an aluminum step ladder out in the yard. Looked like a UFO hovering for several minutes while it was going off! Tons of questions and comments about that one! Built the whole contraption in a couple of hours with stuff I drug out of a junk pile. That's what I enjoy; trying to think of and create unique effects that people won't see at other backyard shows; instead of just seeing who can spend the most money on their show.
Quality engineering my dude haha its all about fun and trying to be as safe as possible for me. I love things that go bang and stuff that just makes you stand there with your mouth open lol
@@motrman315 Yeah, I bought a Cobra 18R2 and firing modules years ago, my whole show is e-fired these days. I'm controlling the show from a chair sitting with the crowd a few hundred feet away. I get a better view of the show this way too; everything is always happening straight over your head when hand lighting. Jogging back and forth to a firing pad on a muggy July night just sux in my book. You get wore out, stop jogging as far or as fast later in the show, then have a low break or a cake CATO on ya, then things get sporty quick! I'm spoiled now, I'll never hand-light a show again!

I'm finding more and more at times I enjoy cakes more than shells. At the very least it's fun taking them apart and refusing them. OLs are fun but there's so much more that goes into a show than just boom.

@@motrman315 yeah I am up in PA we have a lot of fireworks store but most are really high priced but there is a few good ones I go to the worst thing is the taxes of 18% 6 for sales and 12 for fireworks.

See i dont have a problem with OL i had some myself. Anything heavy i love just as much as the next guy. But i believe that some cakes can deliver more than enough without having a hot label on them. Thats all bro
Totally agree, hell fountains are even getting better. No lie my ol lady and I picked up dollar fountains that performed better and went longer than a 15 dollar fountain. Had to go back and buy them up. They were off brands of course.

Those are terrible prices tho ? The average price for a 500g is a round 25-60 anything over that is overpriced
Now for 200g it’s 10-25 anything over is is overpriced now shells are a different story they don’t stay at a average price but anyway over over 180 is insane
Now these prices are not whole sale u can actually get these prices at a store just got to fined the right one and if they advertise u can but buy the case then definitely go there cuz there price will be cheap unless there pricks lol
