You're the first non Chinese youtuber I've seen play this game who picked up on the fact that almost none of the characters we've encountered have had a positive experience because of Wukong before the actual last bits of the game (as the true reason why comes later).So, my respect, for actually paying attention to the stories and characters. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of creators who played the game, even ones I enjoy watching, really didn't give the game the time or respect it deserved. They put a lot of effort in, and it payed off as this game exceeded almost every expectations. Glad I found your channel, looking forward to that GoW playthrough in the future.

Ok. I believe you, unfortunately I have a life and cannot watch every playthrough on the platform due to life being finite
the details they put into this game,....if you watch closely when you open the coffin for after defeating the mad tiger, you would see Destined one hesitated for a bit, quite different to other coffin he opens...if you use camera mode to look into the coffin you would see why... it is heart breaking.

The kasaya was that piece of cloth he was obsessing over in the ending animation. He stole it from wukongs master n wukong burned the temple to the ground in retaliation
This the wrong chapter for this lore, but anyway, Wukong did NOT burn the temple. Elder Jinchi burned down the temple out of jealousy, to kill Wukong and his friends to take the kasaya. Wukong saved his gang from the flames. Then out of shame and failure, Elder Jinchi hung himself. Later on Blackbear wanted to resurrect his friend, but he only managed trap his spirit, hence the Blue wandering spirit and actual Elder Jinchi boss fights.
Edit: Also, Black Bear then took the kasaya for himself, because of his greedy nature that he shared with Elder Jinchi. That’s why they were friends.
In Journey to the West, wukong and his gang also track down the Black Bear, because Tang Monk wanted the kasaya back.
