- The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Golden State Warriors, 130-123. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded 40 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Thunder, Chet Holmgren added a career-high 36 points, along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory. Andrew Wiggins tallied a season high 31 points with 3 assists for the Warriors. The Thunder improve to 9-4 on the season, while the Warriors fall to 6-8.

nope, regular and adv stats shows wemby is ahead. But Chet is really good also, and might go to deeper playoffs early in his career because his team is more established.

Wemby is just shot chucking but also he's getting most of the touches in the spurs since he's the glorified guy there like he can freely do whatever he wants without restrictions while Holmgren has to make ways to fit plus adjust in OKC since he has a better team.
Chet gets way less shots, minutes & touches but is contributing heavily to the Thunder winning games like he's clearly the 2nd option for OKC 17 points then 8 rebounds along with a steal + 2.3 blocks per game who is only getting 10 shots is absurb just tells you how he's not being used or utilized correctly like victor in san antonio.
SGA is a bonified MVP candidate and no one can deny it.

They had every right to celebrate there. Wiggins has been in a season-long funk. He came in averaging 10.5 pts per game while shooting just 13.5% from three. In this game, he had 31 pts and hit 5 threes, including the go ahead basket. Hopefully, this performance will get him going. It would have been strange for his teammates to NOT celebrate there.

Of all the great offensive guards in the league you want to name since Kobe (Curry, Harden, Westbrook, Luka, Lillard, Booker, Kyrie, etc.), Shai is one of only two that could (and probably will at some point) make an All Defense team; the other being Anthony Edwards maybe, he's younger and not quite as polished at the moment. All of them can make this shot at 3:06 ... none of them other than SGA and maybe Ant could reliably make this stop at 3:21 (guys like Smart and Jrue can but they're nowhere close offensively). That is Jordan-esque two-way play and we haven't had a two-way guard like this in a while (since Kobe probably). And SGA will never be either Jordan or even Kobe, he's not a freak athlete in terms of pure speed and leaping ability, but his game sense, body control, and skill level particularly his handles and mid-range is pretty close. Not to mention his clutch shot-making. He looks good enough to be an MVP and the best player on a championship team someday.
