What a life Samuel lived! His sons had to listen to that speech, too! 😮 My prayer is that we Christians here in the USA seek after Christ and not just who is the next leader. It's so easy to get in that trap.

Thanks for the reminder about finishing well. The past 10-15 have been one failure after another, a lot of which, not even in my control. Lost job, forced to come back to a bad family situation, elderly/sick parents, alone 2 years due Covid closure/banning unmasked, lost all church friends. On and on! All I want is to live for the Lord. But it's been so unbearably hard.
Hi Yesica hang in there..life is difficult but with Jesus our hope we can face our trials cos he's with us ..he promised us in his word.I also been thru a difficult time lost my husband in September last year and it's been absolutely difficult and I'm like in this valley of sadness and pain.
But I'm trusting in Jesus for he has a reason for everything.
So you just pray and trust Jesus..he will never leave us nor forsake us..God bless you

This is amazing study, straight to the point and answered my questions. People wanted their own king and government for their own desires. Saul was not up for the job as a king, it was David who eventually come through as God's anointed and victorious. But eventually fall due to his own sins. 😢 Lord have mercy.

@@Clemmons777 Try the book of Samuel. David killed the giant Goliath because no one else would. Had David not stepped up, the Phillistine terrorist would have continued to torment the Israelites. God chose David then. David stood up to an enemy. He chose Moses who stood up to the Pharaoh before David’s time. I truly believe God has chosen Donald Trump today. Each of these individuals CHOSE to take action to help themselves and others. Reread your Bible.
