This SURPRISED Me! - Left Over Paints I Would Normally Never Use! - Acrylic Pouring

  • This was a surprise! Every now and then I get left over colors that I don't know what to do with. In this video I wanted to test out what colors would work together so that i could use up the left over colors. I lost a bit of the sky blue and venetian rose, but the rose madder really helped this one pop! I ended up liking the end results. This is a fun art experiment that anyone can try and it helps to learn more about color theory and color harmony. Hope you enjoy the video! Thank you so much for watching. Happy painting!

Same here! I have also taken super small canvases and dipped them into the paint on the table when I've done a few pieces and there's an excess on the table. I've gotten some really cool ones that way.

This turned out so cool! I’m really loving the green and the pink together (just like in your last painting) I would never stick green and pink together but in the end they are almost complimentary colors, almost. It makes me want to mix up a minty green, a couple of blues and pinks and just experiment.
I totally vote for a wrecked ring pour. I want to see more of the rose madder and the Venetian rose.

    Hey ✨ Molly ✨
The best 'left overs' ever !.....it reminded me of the multi coloured sweet layers in British Seaside Rock (in the UK), similar to candy canes in the US? ........or the layers found in sedimentary rock......Superb 🌟
(Seaside Rock- sugar mixture is heated to a right temperature, poured onto a cooling table, then pulled and separated into smaller sections & layered etc. The inner core part is aerated and flavoured, traditionally mint or fruit)
Those paint layers took me back to my childhood at the seaside and trying not to loose a tooth crunching on the Seaside Rock candy!
'I'm really into the recycling of art. That one piece of art inspires another piece of art, which inspires another piece of art. I really like that idea' - Mark Foster
"I want candy. Candy on the beach, there’s nothing better. But I like candy when it’s wrapped in a sweater.” - Bow Wow Wow, I Want Candy (song)
“Be uniquely you. Stand out. Shine. Be colorful. The world needs your prismatic soul!” - Amy Leigh Mercree
Thank you a fun and inventive tutorial and a Great way to discover colours from excess paint !
