They never confirmed Emily didn't cheat on Matt. They confirmed that Mike never cheated on Emily. Its diferent. AND, this new dialogue is from the remake. So in the remake Emily probably do cheat on Matt (what is not even a surprise)

And again, if was not cheating or something related to that, why would Emily lie about it...?

Flamethrower Guy stated killing them was pointless, since all it does is free the curse from it's current vessel, allowing it to pursue another one. It makes his job ALOT easier if all of the spirits(and their current vessels, the Miners) are confined to one space. The ones already inhabiting someone cant influence any other people that end up in the same boat as Hannah did by possessing them, lowering the chances of a new Wendigo being created exponentially(since Cannibalism on the mountain can create new spirits, but without one influencing desperate and starving people, there's less of a chance they'd give in)

In that situation, Matt is picking the worst time to bring up smth that could have already been discussed. Emily shouldnt have lied about going to meet Mike in the first place, but idk if she cheated. Emily denies it at first [probably the truth] and then when she simply says "I was confused" Matt goes straight to "YOU FUCKED HIM!". Emily would have said anything go get him go stop splitting hairs and just help her off the tower

Don't feel too bad, I missed this on my first playthrough too. There's a somewhat hidden path to get to this area before having Matt & Emily climb up the tower.
A few of these scenes were in the original, but I think with the camera being controllable, you get to see them easier (like finding the camera with Ash and Chris).

Emily only admitted to it because Matt wasn't taking no for an answer, and she's in a life or death situating so saying anything that satisfies him will probably save her life. Mike loved Jessica, hence the whole sequence of him going after her with gun and tank top, she is all he mentions about in the game. Emily and Mike literally hugged, moved on. The end.
Alot of scenes are easily missed if you hit each qte, don't get someone killed, etc. Lots and lots of missable scenes. Title scene at 14:40 so you don't waste your time
Yeah, but she also at one point in development was going to have a drug addiction, so it makes me wonder if her descent into madness would have been caused by her drug use. I think they should have added her having medication for anxiety/stress/panic attacks, or something like that and Josh steals her medication to make her go off the rails and upset Chris (I could see Josh being upset with Chris by choosing Ashley over him, when she was apart of the prank on Hannah).
