Great presentation. This will come in very handy as I research my ancestors in Piemonte parish records (1823-1837 in Latin; 1838-1899 in Italian). Another researcher told me that, in reference to the part about the "Impediments" that "quarto grado" was Third Cousins in 1838 in the Kingdom of Sardinia. Does this mean that the couple were determined to be Third Cousins or does it mean that at the very least they were Third Cousins but could have even been First Cousins?
I have found something in marriage records which, at first. was confusing, but after some consideration made sense. When it is stated that one of the parents of the bride and/or groom is said to be deceased (usually the mother) but a parent by that same name signs consent. Research in other records indicates strongly that this must be the second spouse of the widowed parent (usually a second wife) who has the same given name of the previous spouse. Such as Giovanni Falletti married his first wife, Maria Terrando. She died and he remarried to Maria Cresto. Their son got married and his mother, Maria Terrando is said to be "deceased", but, a "Maria Falletti" signs consent. This would have to be his stepmother, Maria Cresto, who is called a "parent", or even "mother of the groom" in the consent part of the marriage record.

Please don't say "sprinkled" for baptism. Water must flow. Catholics are not "sprinkled" with the aspergillium for a baptism. Water is poured and always has been.

An aspergillium is a sprinkler used to bless the congregation, the altar and other objects. It is not used for baptisms which are performed with flowing water and immersion is preferred.
