Old Dimmu Borgir is classic. Progenies of the Great Apocalypse and Spellbound (from the same show) are 2 other great songs. There's a piano cover by their keyboardist Mustis of the first song as well (search for Mustis Unplugged)
Yep, extremely talented lineup here. The bass player, 'Vortex' as he was known then, is 6'8" and mostly lungs, ha ha. Godlike cleans and unique and powerful stage presence from that guy. More!

Finally a reaction to the OG lineup and not the "replace 2 guys with an entire orchestra" version of the band. If you cant tell, im still salty over how the band kinda fell apart. Now Shagrath (singer) cant even sing his fucking songs properly and the orchestra doesnt do Mustis (keyboards) and Vortex (bass guitar, clean voice and a fucking giant) justice.
I agree with you 100%. It’s sad they thought they needed a whole orchestra to replace Mustis, and it’s still not nearly as good. And basically replacing Vortex with a choir, and the choir always sounds terrible and overused.

Hahaha I just watched Galder completely butcher their newest set live, so....yeah. :D I miss them both too, those were the golden days of Dimmu.

Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is so f'n good I don't listen to symphonic black metal much if ever but this is a top 10 metal album for sure.
Firsth, put your cheap headphones to thrash and then we might to talk and listen
