Elk Grove was actually the last Studio C Beta store opened in the United States. They opened on June 20, 2012, and the next location to open in the US (Harlingen, Texas), opened with a Circles of Light, 16M on September 3, 2012. The last Studio C Beta, 16M store opened overall is the Concepcion, Chile store, which opened after Elk Grove on August 18, 2012.
This store is very dry in terms of artwork because it only includes phase 4/avenger art. Most stores that have phase 4 kept some of the 1999 phase 3 art (such as the warhols and the headshots). Since this store opened in 2012, they had no phase 3 art to carry over so the only art they have up are phase 4 pieces that were still being produced at that time.
Chris literally ballin’ at 2:23 😂 Chris, I just wanna take a moment to thank you for this content as I usually do. Have been going through a rough patch and your videos always cheer me up with how positive and friendly you make them! Please, never stop, every piece of content you make is enjoyable and you make a difference in the world by posting it for all of us to see. You’re the one that got me into this fandom and I’ll forever be grateful for it. I’ll constantly be cheering on your success! 🎉
@elijones5656 They stopped programming the shows for studio c, some stores left him and the lights on random mode while some just turned off the stage altogether
Dept. 18 switched to a new video playback system called Novari and they couldn't find a way to have Novari trigger playback of the Studio C control system since it's file based rather than being controlled by audio tones like older stages. Seeing as Atlas Holdings (the corporation that now owns CEC Entertainment) cares more about 2.0 they just stopped programming Studio C all together.
I don't really do visits after they get the remodel. The focus of my channel is animatronics so once the animatronics are gone there's not much reason to go back in them unless the store had some historical significance.
What a legend! Another one of my locals! Thanks Chris.
