- Ở giai đoạn này , thiết kế Gattai của Super Sentai vẫn còn mang đậm những đặt tính của robot thế hệ cũ ( những năm 80 ) các gattai đều có đường nét vuông vức , còn về phương diện toy cũng như thế , mang những đặc điểm của toy những năm 80-90 , đó là các Gattai có thể bắn đạn được - bắn phần nắm tay ra được , phần lớn các họa tiết là decal giấy dán . Cũng chính vì tính năng '' bắn '' này nên phần nào đó ảnh hưởng đến cách ráp phần tay của Jet Icarus và Tetra Boy , nếu 2 Gattai này không có tính năng '' bắn '' thì tôi cho rằng 2 bản tay của 2 cổ máy này sẽ có thể giấu vào bên trong tay được , chứ không tháo rời ra khi hợp thể . Đó chỉ là điều tôi băn khoăn thôi , còn lại tôi rất hài lòng , cách chuyển dạng cách hợp thể của các cổ máy rất hay , dạng hợp thể rất đẹp . Dạng hợp thể trung gian là Icarus Haken và Hyper Haken cũng rất đẹp . Tôi cực kỳ hài lòng với bộ DX Choujin Sentai Jetman .
Still rocking that classic 80s robot look here, though in just one year's time we'd get the most important Sentai series ever produced.

Only in America, Zyuranger is just another Super Sentai series in Japan. Zyuranger is only remembered for Burai's storyline.
@@malcomalexander9437 I think he was talking more about mecha design. All the previous ones before were more geometrical based but from zyuranger and onward they were more "intricately" designed.

To me, it looks more like a triangle shaped flying brick that combines into an even bigger flying brick. It doesn't even look very aerodynamic

Imagine if this were the first set of Zords for Power Rangers? I may have been a fan from the start. I wasn't too big on the dino thing as a kid, but jets? That would have been cool.

As far as I know they were planning on doing PR from the previous super sentai episodes ... however, it wasn't until Zyuranger that they were approved.
I once heard that Saban was intending to do Jetman first, but the dinosaurs and sixth ranger ultimately sold it for Saban.
I think Jetman and Bioman were planned to be adapted but Saban ultimatley thought the Zyuranger's dino theme would sell well
if this was given an U.S version. it be called Power Rangers: Jet Force, or something like that.
Funny thing is, Saban was originally going to use Jetman before opting to use Zyuranger instead.

The timerangers' time robo alpha and gamma formation is a homage to jetman's Icarus haken/jet Icarus if I'm not mistaken...

Its a lot more simplistic, but you can definitely see visual features and design elements that get built upon in later toys.

Man, Jetman's toys were WAY more complicated than they seemed.
More complicated than a lot of the Sentai stuff we've gotten in the last decade unfortunately
Check out the Super Minipla versions, they are even crazier because all three of the four robots shown here gain a lot of articulation while still retaining all the functionalities of the classic deluxe toys.

My parents bought me bird garuda whilst on holiday the year before power rangers came out. I had megazords before it was cool!

Technically, Tetra Boy wasn't destroyed. Radiguet just chopped his arms off with saw-shaped energy blasts, and that pretty much meant he was useless for the rest of the fight.
Jet Garuda was the only one destroyed.

To think if Saban went with with Jetman first instead of Zyuranger, these could have been our first Megazords.
Ikr, I'm thinking it too. Why did Saban start at Zyu Ranger? They could've start with Jetman or Bioman but they skipped it.

It may have also been the complexity of the megazord transformation with Jetman that turned Bandai off getting that season localised.
I really had when I was young, it just was the all grey color cheap looking toys.

@@kabuto1859 I just don't know what happened. From the original Sentai up to, like, Jetman(?) was all pretty well the same in terms of ingenuity--if that makes sense. It was all about folding IN and concealing the vehicles so that they could some together to form something bigger, but the theme was always vehicles of some sort.
The point, I figured, was to take VEHICLES and make them unique--like a jet-car or something like that. And if not vehicles, then animals! But LEGO? Globes? Cubes? I mean... sure... but like... why.
It still follows suit with adding themes to vehicles and animals but the themes kind of suck.
I hate to come off like I'm living in the past but I just want some good designs. The most recent one is the worst. It's just a hideous Mugenbine LEGO hybrid.

Only complaint is... why didn't they make Tetra Boy able to combine with Great Icarus? They made Jet Garuda compatible with Jet Icarus. Why not with Tetra Boy? You could give Great Icarus arm cannons or something.
Iirc You can mount Tetra Boy on Great Icarus but you never see that in the show
Because tetraboy wasn't piloted? Because he was a late addition to the series when they realized it was more popular than they expected they just more robot toys
I know that Jettoman was heavily based on Gatchaman, but I think the references to Gatchaman II and Gatchaman Fighter are somewhat lost.
Icarus Haken reminds me a lot of the Gatchaspartan (the Science Ninja Team's ship in Gatchaman Fighter).
You can call it Jetman, it's fine. I mean you don't call it Ikarosu Haaken...

These need Sentai Artisan rereleases but it’s still good that there will be Super Mini Pla version’s of Jet Icarus and Jet Garuda.

It's because the robots had to be portrayed by suit actors in action scenes. To have them realistically be able to combine with a method similar to what was shown on the show, and still look like these toys and the miniatures from the show itself, the Garuda has to be much bigger.

Great Icarus is probably the coolest 2-megazord combo I've seen. Better than Zyutei Daizyujin and the Astro Delta Megazord. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Jetman, might have to watch it sometime.

I love Jetman, but the Mechas would not have sold. they are difficult to assemble for kids. With Zyuranger that wasn't the case. I do wish we had gotten a Jetman movie with perhaps easier to assemble mechas.

For a while there were still a few places where the decal came off, I had to use milk glue to fix it

I also see that, there is no need to shoot fists, just turn the fists in my hands to make sure that the details are not redundant.

I agree with your thoughts, I think there is no need for such a bullet shot feature. Instead, make joints to rotate your hand inside, so that there is no hand detail when assembling
