Spend a Week's vacation in nearby Jackson Hole in August this past year.... This is my favorite place to Vacation Summer or Winter..... Every time I come away with my spirit renewed & my very Soul touched to the ultimate limits......What Beauty.. If you ever get the chance to Visit Go, you won't be disappointed.. Bob
I did a cross country trip from Washington to Wisconsin when I was 15. Yellowstone was a stop on the way (kinda, went out of the way to get there) I wish we would of had more time to spend there. I will be back someday.. its literally the most beautiful, dangerous and interesting place on earth
God bless America... If not for anything else... but just for this... preserving nature. The concept of a protected natural park is a great initiative. An example well followed across the world. If only we could add more and more wilderness as protected... and increase the area of existing ones across the world.

Great desire to visit Yellowstone park. Missed the opportunity when I was in Lethbridge( Canada) 2005-06 and 2008. Enjoyed viewing this marvelous video and thanks for uploading!

It is an active volcano, so you could say it's a ticking time bomb. Any second is unlikely though. Don't let all that sensational horseshit the Discovery and History channels air about Yellowstone prevent you from visiting the park. It is incredibly beautiful and there's really nothing like it anywhere else on the planet.
thank you Mr. T. Roosevelt. my original and enduring plan A was to be a park ranger. sad the internet wasn't around when i went back to my plan A and tried to get it going. nothing but a bunch of telephone hang-ups. even sadder, i didn't think to go to the reliable, old fashoned local library for more information. what is is to be taken out of a successful environment/situation by my own parents. still, thank you Mr. T. Roosevelt and the 1970's Boy Scouts.
I went when I was a kid with my parents, so I saved up and surprised my sons and their families with a trip in June 2016, kinda disappointed...Old Faithful was on time but only a third of what it use to be, even my family couldn't understand what all the hype was about cause it really didn't perform very well, but it was still fun...all we seen was buffalo and a few elk, no bears or any other critters.
Thank you for sharing these memories and your recent family trip with us. We've heard similar things about wildlife. Unfortunately, it can be a hit or miss. Have you checked out Katmai? In the mid to late spring till about October, there are lots of bears.th-cam.com/video/ik-xss5BQKA/w-d-xo.html
Great video. Many thanks for posting. Have been there several times and look forward to going back. Truly extraordinary place and Tetons just south of the park are also awesome. Is this full video available on DVD...is it taken from the 58 National Parks DVD set? Many thanks
hello i am (abdelrahman mostafa) i am (9) years old i live in (egypt) i wish i can travel to the (yellowstone national park) but i can travel when i be in secondary.
The last time I was there waiting for old faithful to go off .T there was this little kid playing with his green toy army guys and he wanted me to play with them too This was around 2010 I think.
Will do! Glad you enjoyed our video! If you like what you see here, check out our Best Parks Ever playlist! th-cam.com/play/PLpz7cLJ1_TwTx84J7I6MuApgwaoJk75Nq.html
Very selective choice of firsts to then say America is known for firsts.... A stupid comment. Should I mention that it was a Scot (Alexander Mackenzie) who traversed North America years before Lewis and Clark?
And the Natives did so before then. But let me ask you this, did anyone communicate through telegraph before? Did anyone else reach the moon before? No
keith mitchell... that guy had a list of claims, some which I noticed were unsubstantiated?..you make a good Point! Earliest explorers were likely French & Spanish, & then (the English came in early..1607etc! =17th Century.) I will not argue with you about the history? Canada is full of fascination & has unknown Beauty, I love Canada! Have old friends there! British Columbia, Vancouver, Toronto, & Vancouver Island/Victoria, & Ontario, Thunder Bay, Nippagon, Marathon, & Sault Saint Marie! History is a true story, & we need not argue about it! Today, who among us can change the Past? Let's accept the things we cannot change & deal with those we can! The last 4 letters in the word American is "I Can"! Whether we live in North, South, or Middle America, we are Americans! United We Stand & Divided We Fall! Do You like the USA Ntnl Parks?
ANaea ...it's just history! No need to worry about it! Who can change it? We can't believe all that we're taught! Universities cultivate the same knowledge but don't always teach it the same, so education is not always equal! Just food for thought.

I loved visiting. Never enough time.
It’s not even supposed to erupt for at least another 100 years but the eruption it’s going to produce is heavily exaggerated
I was just there and I thought I’d get tired of geysers...nope, love all of them. Each one is unique.
Just left Yellowstone!!!
One word...BREATHTAKING!!!
God bless America!!!!!!

too long but like it
is it true that this park is technically a ticking time bomb and could explode at any second?
Home
That's amazing. What's your favorite part of Yellowstone?
GoTraveler 1. Enjoying it with my family year in and year out 2. Driving around the park and enjoying the sights 3. The wildlife
And we have the first president to say that oil drilling rigs can be put there. How about a coal fired power plant.
Not true. Besides, drilling in most places in Yellowstone only results in equipment ruined by heat and an explosive release of pressure.
